Thread: Real Estate Section

We do not have a real estate section in the forum. Neither had we any topics until recently, viz, Level of Leverage.

Will a real estate section in The Lounge section be a good idea?

I thin it will be a good idea.

a real estate section sounds good, but im not sure about it being in the lounge section!

What are we going to do with all the information?

@justcio.us The intetion of the section will not be to compete with the likes of apnaloan.com or such sites. It will be a site to post some useful info like current rates in your area, discounts given, experiences, etc.

@preeti_20, If not under "the Lounge" section, where do you suggest?

It does sound like a good idea, but what will be the content in this ?. Are we going post about houses/land for sale or are going to what might be the optimal place to buy a house for investment or personal purposes.

The best section would to create a new one called "Investment", share trading can be a part of this.

My idea was not to have a buy/sell section for real estate. This is not the forum for such things. The idea was just to exchange information, tips, etc.

To look at it in a different way, our main theme is Broadband and related issues. We should not dilute our theme too much.

Maybe the section can have real estate in terms of broadband like which area has which provider's feasiblity. Which provider gives more service in that particular area.

I know sounds too cheesy

On a personal level I don't think there is nothing wrong in branching out to other topics. Just because the site is named India Broadband we needn't concentrate only that. If members can contribute effectively to a particular concept or topic, there is nothing wrong in starting out.

yes ... good idea ... and also consider the request for stock market section ..

its good to exchange info and get the latest on topics and one good topic as mentioned is real estate!

@ J4K - I don't know what other section we could have, maybe like u said Lounge section would be the best for this, as i can not find anything else!

Or maybe open up a brand new sub section, if its feasible and gives enough sub sections under that!

I think that it would do good under The Lounge section. Or else, as Preeti has said, we would have to start a fresh section with appropriate sub-sections which will attract the users into it.

We are already having discussions about a number of new sections. I don't think that all of them coming together would do good. Each one should be added one-by-one, taking time.

First lets decide on whether this section or not, then we can decide under which section we can have..

we can also think about if there are any appropriate sections to go under real estate, which help us in knowing whether real estate section should be opened as a new sub section or not!

What about a new section "Life In India" where we can have lots of sub-sections?

Anyway, I don't think we can have a sub-section under lifestyle. Lifestyle can anyway go under the section "Life In India".

I meant that we could move 'Lifestyle' from 'The Lounge' to the section 'Life In India' (or whatever..)...

I wonder what will be discussed under the Real estate section... the land rates keep changing every day..& no body follows the land rate which is given by the government...

We could have a section on education/tutorials...

As I have said that can also go under 'Life In India' (or, whatever).

We can ofcourse get the general opinion on the prices.

there are so many topics which can be discussed on real estate, such as how property is going in different states/areas, best type of properties to buy, what should first time buyers do, loans for property buying and so on!
