Thread: Websites and Blogs

I know we have many members on the forum who have their very own blogs, websites, and some people have some good established websites and blogs.
How many of you have your own blogs or websites?

Coming back to the topic of making India Broadband grow bigger, why don't all the owners of blogs or websites have a link to India Broadband, and some people have links to their own sites on here, so why not do something for India Broadband!

You can maybe write a review on the forum, or even have a logo of India Broadband on your blog or site!

Im soon going to start blogging too, and I know i will have a link to India Broadband!



When you link to the site it will be good to post a link here (if its allowed, so that everyone can see it)

We can make it mandatory for the people who have their bog/website link in their signature to have a link to IBF on their blog/website.

We already have quite lots of blogs and sites linking to us, and still more would do only good.
Ofcourse people attached to IBF will have a link from their blog or website to IBF.

thats a really good idea Ramesh, but this is something that needs to be passed onto the mods and admin then!

I don't that making it mandatory is a good thing to do. Forcing really should not be a way for us. Our forum is ofcourse a lot more steps higher than any blog or website of anyone here (I think so). And, many people have links to sites and blogs that are not their own. Therefore, its better to just leave it to the users themselves.

I completely agree with Dhanesh, anything done out compulsion might not help us in the long run. One has to help out of his/her own wish. Making it mandatory might have some sideeffects, I don't think the mods might agree to this request. I have one blog, gonna update the link. Its really long time since i updated my blog anyways.

hmm that's a point, but im sure the mods and admin wont put a knife to throats and say put a link on your blog or website, it would be a gesture!

And the blog or website owners should not hesitate or mind in putting a link or a logo to IndiaBroadband.net!

IBF is not very friendly with member Blogs. Perhaps it does not like member writing their own blogs. I maybe wrong, but current policies point in that direction!

I dont think that is right Gary, as a lot of people have links to their sites ans blogs on the forum! I think its different for those who just post 20 posts or something and leave their link and never come back!

I think you have the wrong idea, or maybe you want to explain further!

I think that you are still hurt by some incidents during th start of the contest. Forget it dude. There is nothing like that.

I think it would be real nice if all people put a link to IBF on their blogs. Afterall it will be a return "Thank You" gift.

It's good idea, but i think it will matter in Google Rank. It matters if you link reciprocally with one another and contents are not related then you may get lower ranks in Search Engine Results.

Because if some blogs or sites have poor ranking it will definitely affect your ranking in search engine. On the other hand if you link to sites that is more popular then it will boost your rank in Search Engine Ranks. This is all about SEO.

Yes, of course we can give links of blogs of members of this forum while responding different threads. what admin and mods say about this?

making it mandatory is really not a good idea beacuase its like forcing someone.

If someone want to add IBB on his/her blog then its a good idea and apart from that you can add IBB link in your mail signature

I don't have a real blog. I have one but, only created to learn to install and use Word Press.

thats alright vishnu, you can start it anytime
simply go to blogger.com and create your own blog, i will come there on regular basis

Now also, Admin has has removed link to my blog from my siggy for a lame reason.
and told me not have a link to my blog in my siggy.

well i think there must have been a justified reason because the things which admin or j4k do, are for valid reasons, and its not fair if they allow some to do things and some not to! Its a fair place this thats all i can say!

Seems like this didnt go down well, or shall we say that people want to leave their links to their blogs, but can not be bothered to link to www.indiabroadband.net on their blogs or site! Its quite sad, i mean its not going to kill anyone, have a human touch guys!

I dont have a blog, but thinking of starting one when i have some good time, and when i have one i will link to the IBF, because it wont cause me any harm!

I already got it linked with my blog
got it as signature in my mail too

I have also my own web site (not yet fully designed) just launched a couple of weeks back
