    Default Separate section for Accolades

    Separate section for Accolades

How about having a separate section for Accolades under the General offtopic discussions section. We have been having many threads on congratulations for reaching various milestones, Happy Birthday & etc. It would be good if we could have all these accolades threads under one section.

I would think that if we renamed "Introductions" to "Introductions/Accolades" that would suffice. There are already too many sections.

my view is existing one is enough... as we already have many subforums...and all the names are clearly reflecting their contents

I will wait for more "Aye's"

Edit: OK. I have moved them. If there are lot of objections, we can move them back where they were.

Brilliant Suggestion Jee. Even I was thinking of the same. But, these threads dont also fit well in the Introductions section. We need to have a separate section. So many accolades might be confusing for new users wanting to introduce themselves in the Introduction section.

Come to think of it now, I approve the idea of separate section for accolades.

Just to remind the need of a separate Accolades section. I havent seen a single new member introducing himself/herself after the introduction sections got flooded with accolades. Seeing all those Congrats threads and no Intro thread can be very confusing for newly registered members. They might not end up introducing themselves.

I think there should be a single thread for all the introductions and it should be stickied. Replying in an existing thread is easy for newbies and veterans alike. Newbies may not be very comfortable with starting new threads in a not so familiar environment.

Same goes for all congratulations threads. Maybe we could have 2 congrats threads, one for REP and one for Post count. No need to create million new threads when someone gets to 1000 posts or so. It will help reduce the clutter a lot.
