Default Rule needed for Affilate Links.

There are many Affilatte Programs on internet by which we can make a few bucks.. most of the time we can make the money from referrals.

When I had posted my refferal link in the section "Online Jobs" my thread get deleted by admin. on asking the reason i got this reply.

The site was not asking for any money to invest.
The site was not asking for any personnel info.
It was not a forum.. so it was not a rival for you.
It was posted in a approriate section ie "Online Jobs".

But then also you have deleted my thread, will you please tell me why?

    Thanks
    Limpu.
The reason I deleted your thread was that we do not allow affiliate links on the forum including signatures... if we started allowing affiliate links then this forum would be full of affiliate links within days.

Please remove your affiliate link from your signature as well.

    Thanks
I have removed the link from my signature.

But I must say that you should close the section "Online jobs".. coz there is no such thing on the internet which can be considered as a job.. however there are certain things on internet which can be called as "Online Money"..
affilate programs are the easiest source of money for students like me, and if you dont like to see these links even in a limited section like "Online Jobs" then it clearly indicates you have nothing to do with "Online Jobs" or the benifits of forum members but you only want labour from members to increase the content of your forum.

    Thanks.
Please post your comments on the forum as thats where the rules are made... I dont make them on my own.

If you can gather support from a considerable majority then please let me know I will be happy to mend the rules for you.

    Thanks
So based on this reply.. if you guys can vote here to allow affilate links at least in one section i.e "Online Jobs" then admin might change his rules and allow us to earn some bucks from some affilate programs.

    Thanks.

I am not in favour of the "Online Jobs" section. I personally don't believe in them as many people have told me stories of getting duped by such companies.

And I agree with Admin - we cannot allow affiliate links.

Signature Rules are quite clear in this respect. But if people want modifications, we can open the debate.

That may be true but the objective of this forum is not to provide advertisements to others.

Dont you think that most of the entries in the section "Online Jobs" is directly or indirectly a advertisement about some programs related to "Online Earning"?.

    dont take me otherwise,

but trust me - you wont get active referrals from forums like this even if such links are allowed. even i occasionally earn some bucks from such programs but to be honest they are not worth the effort. there are many forums specially dedicated for discussion on such sites. there are many referral(downline) building programs where you get active referrals for joining programs referred by others. and many other sources of promoting your links also.

but plz, keep IBF free from such stuff. once started, the forum will attract lot of spam related to such sites.

If they are not worth the effort then why you have tried them "occasionally".. this itself proves that you need this kind of funds for some of your needs.
If there are many forums for this.. then do you suggest me to leave this forum and join them.

Well I am not talking about the whole IBF.. I am only asking for one small section.

I really don't think that i need to say anything about it but still we don't allow referral links on this forum and if you have any problem/ issues with forum rules and want to see changes then please come up with some good ideas. We are not here to promote or advertise for other sites/forums.

Do you know even i own 6 blogs and 3 websites but can you tell me even a single chance when i posted link to my websites/blogs in any discussion.

It is something which is not allowed and we are not making any changes in forum rules till the time demands are invalid.

sorry bro i too dont agree with this point..! do you know why IBB comes so much in front in goolge while searching, than of other forms / sites...?

because we have here answer to the point and no SPAMS its purely what you need thats all...

Believe me once i was trouble shooting some router here itself on IBB and i didnt know how many ports that router had so i searched in google and i was stunned by seeing the result the first link was to the same thread which was created minute before....! now you only decide if you want to loose such a ranking in google...!

Bro i have my own site of my shop from past 6 months and till today if you want to get to my site via google it takes 4-5 pages...! its very hard to get there ...

so my advice is try something creative within the forum goto any section but be within the forum we dont want others to interfere here that too just for spamming..!

Though I'm not into affiliate links or referral program... I think we may give it a try here in a seperate section and see the results... There is a possibility that it can attract more traffic... And new members coming here will participate in other sections as well... That can result in some positive growth for forum...

But yes, if people start misusing it alarmingly, then it should be scrapped...

I can understand what you said maddy but it will just increase outgoing links on forum.
Now a days its really hard to judge which program is genuine and which is not and if anyone ends up with nothing in hand after joining xyz program then it will affect repo of forum.

Alll sections here including "Online jobs" have the objective of providing qualitative and objective advice on such actities, an exchange of ideas, experiences, etc.

For example, the "BSNL", "Airtel", "Reliance", etc. forums exist for advice on the respective ISPs, issues/solutions, etc. We do not have them for advertising. We invite a frank opinion on all the respective category subjects. This means that unadulating praise or acidic/caustic criticisms are also not expected (I had to ban some members who fell in this class).

Hence let it not be misunderstood that "online jobs" exists to provide links to websites that provide opportunities. We welcome experiences of certain site as long as it is not pure advertisement.

If you ask my personal opinion, I am in favour of doing away with the Online Jobs and Buy/Sellsections. And I also feel that the Mobile phone service providers section does not provide any value add here.

For a blog "outgoing links" might be a big factor, but for a forum it should not.

Now a days its really hard to judge which program is genuine and which is not and if anyone ends up with nothing in hand after joining xyz program then it will affect repo of forum.
Unless and until someone discuss about the pros and cons of such offers with their friends (in a forum), how can one decide that it will ends up with nothing in hand after joining xyz program.
"it will affect repo of forum" - that seperate section can have a sticky thread of warning "Dont invest anything in any affilate programs" etc...

If closed Indian economy can go global why not India Broadband Forum? Good outgoing links will only add value to the forum... I understand it will increase mod's work-load... As many will try to use this for advertisements... There can be couple of more moderators to assist you guys to share the increase in work load... To delete spam in that separate section and others...

I fail to understand how it will affect the repo of forum... A single instance of a non-genuine site identified by a member shall automatically mark that domain in blacklist category.... Whereas if a member gets benefited, then that domain can be categorized as in whitelist... Over time, we may end up having exhaustive collection of both lists...

P.S.- BTW, I'm out of mod race for now...

Itsmemad it does make a huge difference ... google doesnt like affiliate links and besides that if we allow affiliate links here a lot of innocent unsuspecting members will fall prey to stupid scams and I am not saying that some one will do it intentionally... they themselves will be a victim and by spreading their links here na dhtre will make others join those very scams they are themselves victims of.

If there is really a huge demand and some one here can prove that there is a need of such a forum where one can talk about jobs and making money and all that where affiliate links should be allowed I can buy a new domain create a new forum and leave it to you to have as many affiliate links as you want... I wont take me more then 3-4 hours to do that... I can tell you this in advance that such a forum will never break even unless I resort to dirty money making schemes which I wont so yes it will be a loss making venture eventhough the losses wont be huge..

If we have more then 50 people here who promise to be regulars on the new forum if created then we can think about it and carry on thsi discussion to the next level.

Some on in this thread suggested there are no online jobs... well there are its just that you havent come across one which is genuine.

    Thanks

That explains it... As I said I'm not into these affiliate links... So, don't have any idea... And since google does not like it... Technically, it will be bad for forum...
Sorry, limpu.cool, I take my vote back!

I've some other priorities right now... I won't be able to do justice to the responsibilities of a mod here... But I'm not ruling out myself forever...
