Even I am getting similar error (last day also). It happens mostly when it has BSNL links in it. When you remove them it is ok.

I have just checked and that thread is working just fine.... Most probabbly the mysql server was restarting or somethign when you got that error.

That thread had no problem. It is working fine. Its the link in that post which was causing problems...

That couldn't have been the reason. I had seen essbebe also say in some thread that he also had a similar problem and meetdilip has also had it as he has said here.

And I tried replying again in the evening (I first tried at about 1 PM).

Just as meetdilip had said, it was a link problem. Without the BSNL link, I was able to post a reply. But, with it, I was not able to. Then I tried posting the link, editing the post and was able to do that.
And, I have now deleted the post.
