Forum sections reorganization

I suggest that we reorganize the forum as follows:

a) Move the threads of "Buy, Sell or Trade" to "Yard"
and "Online Jobs" to "General Offtopic"

b) Get rid of the sections "Buy, Sell or Trade" and "Online Jobs".

c) Create a "Computers" main section and move existing as follows:

Advantages:

• Less clutter
• Better classifiation
• Elimination of some not so useful sections
• User friendliness

Disadvantages:

• Linkbacks by members to their own sites may be broken
• Links provided in many other posts will be invalidated
• Google SEO and page rankings will be affected for some posts. But as these are mainly offtopic and not so important posts, this should be OK.

Nothing of that sort. Suggestion is to reorganize some sections. The only removal suggested is "Buy/Sell" and "Online Jobs" section (after moving the posts contained therein to other sections).

My suggestions

Moving the Broadband "How to" to the very top

Gaming to the lounge section

and suggestions and complaints into the General offtopic sub forum as there are no contests anymore

If possible... Plz add Web Development section under Computer Technology where people can discuss about things related to web designing, coding, CMS, SEO, etc.

1) Dont transfer the threads of buy/sell and onlne jobs section in general offtopic section. the general offtopic section will become cluttered. I am not asking to keep the buy/sell section but plz dont remove the online jobs section. i know that section brings in lot of spam, but some of the articles/guides written there (like the ones by admin) are really inspiring.

ex- how to earn from google adsense
how to earn money online (blogging and associate content etc)

These threads will eventually get lost if included in the General Offtopic section as this section is one of the most busiest sections.

2) What about a stock exchange section as requested by many from time to time.

We have moved those "games" thread to "Yard". I will take a consensus view on the "online" topics. The threads will not be deleted. Maybe Admin can make the forum non-postable.

Addition of New and forthcoming Operators in Mobile Phone Service Providers Section - or just a others sub-section for all such operators.

Why not have a section(or sub section in off-topic) for posting web links . It would be nice to have links to external websites.

It can be of both entertainment as well as technical in nature. The reason why I want is that obviously , no single person can know all good websites, that are spread all over internet. But when the entire community contributes we all can gain from it.

If mods prefer it, then they can separate it as technical and on-technical stuff so it would be easy for moderation.

Yes I understand My logic is that those who do spam , will most probably create threads in all sections, and not just in a single section.

On the contrary if all spammers were to somehow create spam links only in that section, then again it will probably reduce ur workload.
