Default Vbullettin search v/s Google site search

The search option of Vbullettin is not as powerful as google site search. I have tried with different keywords. I got more accurate and expected results in Google site search. What is your openion??

ya thats correct, even when you give the exact thread name the list comes, and in that list also the required thread will be very low down the order.
Ex: Try it, search "Good night thread." it is the exact name of the thread but it comes 6th.

That said, vBulletin’s search system is definitely better than those of PHPBB and IPB.

Agreed that Google Search is better. But the VB search is just a basic search and does not have enhanced SEO features. The VB software's main purpose is to give forum capability while Google is ... you all know what Google is.

Unless it is too costly, it should be possible to integrate Google search into the forum.

He had already told that something is not compatible (I think it's the theme ) with our current vBulletin version. He said that he will bring it back as soon as the developers of the theme act upon it.

By the way, nice pic Admin!

Coming back to the topic, Google Custom Search will be very much useful than vBulletin search, but, it shouldn't be removed, because it can help at times.
It has some little features that Google Custom Search can't offer.

google search is good, but place it somewhere at the right or left or down somewhere..(maybe near above recent posts)

it looks like some bad sticker sticken onto forum's forehead..

Excellent feature Admin. I browsed so many long forgotten threads tonight. Refreshed the memory of my earlier days on the forum.
