Suggestion: Should be search option for new threads

I personaly find it difficult to search for new threads daily as we got so many sections/subsections over here.

Its a suggestion, if we could have a search option to search all the new thread opened in last 24 hrs. That would be really helpful.

P.S: Please suggest if there is already some method for this problem.

Try this: India Broadband Forum - Posts in Last 24 hours

The above search will return all posts in past 24 hours but it will bring unread + read posts.

It was working, but now I have start seeing this message:

Maybe you are right. Its working for me ! And i think a similar thing happened after i replied all new threads and click on new posts option.

I don't think we are right, I think its a v-bulletien error, because we are getting this message when there are still some unread new thread. I found this one new

Did you do a refresh? Then you may get an error. When you execute:

http: // www.indiabroadband.net / search.php ? do=getdaily
(deliberately adding spaces here so that url is not parsed automatically)

the MySQL database executes a query and the result is replaced by a query_id as follows:

http: // www.indiabroadband.net / search.php ? searchid=nnnnnnn

This id (nnnnnn) is lost after sometime by the database. It is a bit technical to explain.

You must not refresh the page but execute the query again by the first url in this post.

I have saved the link you provided me in my favourites. Each time I am going through my fav. and not hitting refresh, but its still the same.

I am not sure why you are getting the problem. It works perfect for me.

Also, the URL will search for ALL posts in the last 24 hours. It will return NEW as well as OLD (read) posts.

Weird! When I tried clicking on the link provided in #2, it worked, but when i save it to my fav. its giving me an error. Anyhow, atleast i got an option. thanks

Check the URL what it is saved as. I bet it is saved with "?searchid=nnnnn"

Open the bookmarks option and enter it directly, instead of opening the link in browser and then adding it to favorites....

yes, done, i have saved a new URL which contains =daily stats..

@j4k, it wasn't nnnnn but something else, which was wrong. problem solved now.
