Next forum upgrade?

Admin, when can we expect the next forum theme upgrade?

I specially miss the previous UI for public user profile (for other members).

We do need that old user profile page...This one really sucks

and also the statistics page. Weekly stats was much much better.

Yes. We want the Old user profile page back and a link to the stats page.

Speaking of public profile; please make it possible to see who is giving rep to whom. Especially when one fake profile is giving rep to another...let the rep screen be public so we can expose all the rep cheaters.

I think there was some problem sometime ago - the online user count was not updating and "quick reply" invariably resulted into double post. Admin reverted back to older theme.

Roooooopaliiiiiii or baaaa or who ever operates those fake profiles.

Also make a stringent rule of not allowing multiple accounts from a single user. Some forums have zero tolerance policy when it comes to multiple accounts.

This, if its not done then its good.

As if a person gives neg rep (till today i have not seen any), then the recipient will know it and start a war against them so let this be secret only.

I disagree...the rep system should be as transparent as possible. There are too many positives with a transparent system than an opaque one.

I agree. Esp when user can easily create multiple accounts !

I personally think that the current Repo system is OK. But the same old problem - unless someone mentions his name in repo comment the recipient cannot know who repped him. this should be visible.

Coming to amal's point. Making everyone's Repo stats public will niether be possible nor a good idea also. We - regular users generally dont create multiple ids and dont cheat with repo. I know what you wanted to say. In such rare cases mods can be requested to take a look at someone's repo stats.

ok if reps are made visible then it should be of only positive reps but not the neg reps, and this i dont think is possible so let it be as it is.

Even if the person create multiple ID max rep he will get it 1 then why should worry so much

This topic is going tangent - on repo system. We can discuss that on another thread please.

1. Ability to lock permanently lock our own threads could be useful in some cases. Not all threads have a long shelf life, Also this tool could prevent thread bumping in a good way.

2. If a "chat box" or a "shout box" type add-on is available, it should be used immediately, it will cut down on "hello, how are you, I am fine" spam drastically.

Though,technically right, I'd feel sad, if this were to be implemented. Coz most of our posts are our "digital memories". Its really amazing, if you go through some of older posts ,say around from 1 year back onwards......
