    Good move

Many do not bother to register for viewing one or two threads. It will help us avoid the traffic diverted to other sites. We have many tempting threads, they will register to answer if come across any.

its not so difficult anyways, jus disabling IBf's cookie will have the same effect !

Are unregistered users allowed to see all pictures ?

I strongly feel that compelling one to post by banning for not posting will be too harsh. It is better to be silent than write anything silly. Sharing of knowledge is good and alright and I believe in that too. You can consider banning if one does not post for a longer period like say 1 year or more. All cannot be players and many are comfortable to be watchers. I prefer to be a watcher and I shall definitely post when I am required and feel comfortable in the topic.

Nobody has been banned for not posting. Only those who spammed or posted advertisements have been banned. Their posts were deleted as well.

What I said was that (regardless of the message posted above), no one has been banned because of zero posts, inactivity etc.

I know this because I can see the list of banned users.

Whether id's have been automatically deleted, I cannot say - but on the whole I do not think that, that is the case too.

Will have to take Admin's permission for that. But I do not see that as a problem because they appear with "Banned" title anyway.

I was asking it to be made permanently public but there should not be any visible links on any page.

it would be good if you could just enter a correct url to see the page, that way new members won't wander off to the ban logs.

At the moment, the banned user list appears in Moderator Control Panel only.

It will need some web programming to make the list public via a php page. Only Admin can do such changes to website.

    Interesting suggetion though.

You guys are taking it wrong... that message about id will be deleted and all only applies to those who have zero number of posts ...

If some one has an id and has only made 1 post in the last 4 years well his/her id will not be touched... we have menbers from 2006 who have never posted anything and just never came back... so I am planning to prune the members list and only have those members who have got atleast 1 post to their credit and those who are more then 6 months old members and still do not have a post will get deleted...

Is it not fair enough? If you disagree please shout and we can talk about this

I think the policy to disable membership for long dormant members (membership more than 365 days, zero posts) is fair.

Nothing more will be heard on this.
The central committee of the Soviet union has felt and come up to this decision that banned users list must be made public by the General Secretary, State duma, and Supreme Soviet. And that the Premier should post the report based on it.

I have one more Q: what about people with more than one profile? Most forums don't allow more than one a/c per person. what is the general policy on this forum about that?
