I don't want to leave the forum because I don't it to grow but the vice versa.

I think that the negatives are mixed up ... but from what I understood:

I want to leave not because I don't want it to grow but vice versa.

If my assumption is correct then you are thinking wrong.

@ALL

- No harm in spamming but do it in moderation
- Post as many jokes as you like
- There are many other sections, e.g., The Lounge where people can particpate; Tech topics is not the only one
- On tech topics, help people by pointing to the right threads, if you feel that you cannot provide a solution. By doing so, you are adding value
- Post occasional news items that may be of interest to people
- Music and movie reviews

Possibilities are endless.

@kix . Not many people have technical knowhow. What should they do? I think 50 spam per user is not bad & will make everybody happy.

LS, just take a look at the stats page.

If you leave a few at the top most of the users are having average of 50 or less than 50 posts / day. Now itself it is creating mess so 50 will be too much.

What i suggest if you really want to imply some rules then give it the ratio method.

10 tech related replies = 30 spams allowed.
Tech related replies does not mean you have to provide your own solution. You can search the forum and just post the link of th solution page as a reply. Atleast searching all people know na !

To be honest J4K, I don't want to go, because I just love this place, the guys here are superb(again emotional drama) But when ever we guys are together, out chit chat starts (may be Women forum is best for this), which inturns promotes spamming.But as long as I am here, I can assure the following from my side:

- No more 'only' :lol:ing (I'll miss it:crying
- Very Less Games
- Will try to visit other sections (too dull for me)

But, I have no control over Chit-Chat, that will pursue normally,(my main reason for visit:clown hope this is fine.

I don't think that you have read my full post carefully. I have suggested many alternatives.

And who will keep count of spam? Self restraint is the best option. Everyone should think on "how can we make this forum better" and not "how much I am allowed to spam". I have also said that some spam is OK.

But only spam is not OK - if that continues, good members may leave. A few of you are saying that they may leave. But what would happen if good members leave because all they see here here is spam and games? Please take a balanced view.

During the last posting contest some good members disappeared.

I am not admonishing. Just read in a neutral tone.

Everybody is a good judge of what spam is. Just some self discipline. That is all Admin (and I) are saying.

I have seen this.Ok, I joined in summer 08, the members who were along with me at that time have now left/no activtiy. I myself dissapered and now returned to the forum.

Same here.

In my opinion, the techies feel bad because the ISPY/recent threads are full of spams, but if only tech sections posts are exclusively DISPLAYED on ISPY/recent threads, then i guess they will have nothing to complain.

I request our admin/mods to kindly consider this and take the pain to implement it.

I have never spammed in a tech/broadband or any other ontopic thread.

I am very happy that the spammers have decided to spam less..

...and I am very happy that Ramesh finally accepted that he is a spammer.
