Absolutely agreed. Not posting junk = increase in quality.
But when people were posting in Yard and other sections, the page hits were high resulting in high PR.
PR = Page Rank.tried to find google PR, it gave that error message

We need to increase the activity in the sections other than yard so that we wont have time to post in yard. This will help in reducing the content of yard.
I think this forum is so big that we can not ever post in yard games like antakshri but what are people suppose to do when free. You can post in music ,literary , lifestyle , movies & e.t.c. section as they are not off topic. There is a big warning that yad is going to be deleted. Whenever it is going to happen we will be crying hoarse as our postcount will be reduced

What is the obsession behind increasing post count by any means? And just because there are no new threads, does it mean that you must post somewhere?
Quantity is not Quality.
A person may have only few threads or posts but s/he will be respected still. These need not be tech threads only - I have said so ample number of times.

@kix. I have stopped posting in word association & antakshri only because they were reducing the quality of forum , were useless & don't contribute anything to forum. I agree with you quality matters but what I wanted to say was what are people suppose to do when off line. They can post in relevant threads. Also yards threads are going to be deleted & as far as I know many will not like it to happen only because their post count is going to be reduced
I don't know why you're so concerned about this when Admin & Mod clearly said that they won't delete anything.
But coming back to post count, its good that we have decrease our no. of posts in yard and everything seems to be happy and normal as always.
So don't worry, be happy, enjoy life.
You could create new interesting tech/KB threads.
Surely there are enough sections. If there is any particular area of interest that you have, but there is no section, put up a request in "Suggestions".

You're contradicting your own statement.
I have written we not I there. By we I meant other people there including me but I am not worried that my post will be deleted but when it will be I will feel about that. Understood. So, I was never worried that my post was going to be deleted but I will cry hoarse when it is going to be deleted. I will reconcile earlier than some as I know that it should be deleted in my heart( even if my mind say that my post count is going to be reduced).
Got you but when you & everyone is aware that, that will not going to happen, what's the point to raise the issue over and over again.
