That sounds great...but who will be judging that?

I can be a judge. I am impartial since I have no emotions since

People must use the "Rate Thread" feature. This can also be used in deciding on the winner.

We could go back to Admin's idea - Rs. _____ per published article. No contest, no winner.

The reason, I am not sure is because if a winner is selected the others may feel that they have been overlooked or that they deserved to win too. So later they may not post at all or completely vanish.

On the other hand, if an article guarantees an amount (no matter the quantum), it encorages people to bring in the content. The articles are not restricted to tech only. We are formulating some suggestive rules and then throw the rules for further suggestions from all members.

Then we must have some time frame within which the articles must be submitted.

Well, Admins idea is excellent. No doubt about it. That will encourage the blogging habit among members too. And as per the rules clearly mentioned by Admin, only quality articles will be selected for payment. So, people are bound to feel dejected whenever their article will get rejected in this format too.

The idea suggested here is forum centric. Just to increase the participation of members in all the sections of the forum. If this idea is implemented, I guess not a single section will be left ignored.

There is no harm in running both simultaneously if it's feasible. Or we may use this contest to become a stepping stone for articles getting selected for the blog.
