Request for a common thread for joke

I will like to have a common thread for jokes so that I can read them all at once without reading comments . When I read comments. I too am tempted to post one.

I don't mean to say that there should be only one thread. I meant to say that there should be thread like there is one for cartoons.

Why is it not practical? Isn't there is one for cartoons. Where kix post them & it is closed for all members. I will not considered one liner reasons & votes without reasons.

Well moving Images from a single thread is an easy task,But Merging all the jokes together (There are so many) and that too from different threads won't be easy at all.

well well , jokes is one of places in forum, where you can go off-topic genuinely and its allowed to some extent too.

Luke, you want to close that too. while your endeavor to reduce spam is admirable, closing each and everything is hardly a solution and this has been discussed time and again.

i wouldn't be surprised if say after a few days you say , we have only one thread, why need a section for that and close it too.

Depends on Mods' decision. Whether they are ready to spend their time on this.

I am not against jokes section. I want a common thread like there is for cartoons which had only cartoons & no comments. Mods can do it. They can easily move or copy posts from one place to another like they do for cartoons.

Combining all jokes into one thread - it is a nice idea but it will take too much time.

Of course it is feasible. Why not?

But each joke thread has one joke and about 15 lol's Selecting and merging will take a lot of time.

It will be much easier to remove the LOL's.

As I said, it will take a huge effort. I do not know whether I can spare that much time.

For the cartoons, it was simpler - one thread to copy/paste from.

IMO "No pain No Gain", It will be very tedious work for mods to merge all the jokes.. Go through the post just like i did
