I think using a chat pluggin based on php in ibf would be great. As it will reduce off topics that do occasionally happens & not increase the server load much( a php based will not). I think there is a link to a thread in a thread on that in vbulletin but I can't see it. I think it requires membership.

Otherwise if it increases the load then i think it will not be great. Current policy of removing threads which are bad can be continued but please notify first so that we don't lose any new members

Its not a problem with load or anything... it just doesn't make sense.. there are dedicated sites for chatting and posting smiles and what not.. why should we have a chat script on a broadband forum? can you justify it? Anyone coming here has an issue with either broadband or dth or xyz and if he/she comes with an issue and enters the chat room you give him/her a nice reply and resolve their issue... what then? again after an hour comes another new member with the same issue... wont find a solution as you replied in the chat room where no conversations get saved.. even if they do they are not searchable the way threads and posts are on a forum.. so what happens? another chat room session and the story goes on.

The load of crap we had on the forum is done and dusted now... I/we kept on waiting for months and months in hope that sense will prevail but some people were trying to convert this forum into a junk yard... well that didint happen and they have created a junk yard of their own where they call us by different names and I am sure your chatting cravings will be very much satisfied if you pay a visit there and they will welcome you with open arms

As far as loosing or gaining members goes I am least interested in keeping or getting new members who are here just to post smiles and exchanging reputation points over those smilies... doesnt do any good to anyone.

Well said. Once again, I do not wish to dig out the history.

Tech forums should be clean. I had created a thread called "Offtopic posts removed from other posts" and smoothvibes had created a "Chaat thread".

My thread was to do eaxctly what it said. For a few days in the beginning, I was religiously removing junk from good threads. The idea was to keep good topics clean from offtopic and yet preserve posts of members. After some days the task became unweildy.

Smoothvibes' "Chaat thread" also served no purpose. Every thread became a chat thread and idle conversation.

In spite of all the mass cleanup, there is still a huge pile of junk in the useful posts.

A chat plug-in was demanded in the past also. I was personally not in favour but I was not going to go against majority. Thankfully there is no need to do that.

@Luke, it seems that I do not think that you are welcome there (in the ex-members' forum), going by your VMs and PMs to me.

Seeing that junk are really stop much , I don't feel any need. By the way my demand was so that these junk should stop. I don't like these junks in tech. In fact I had opposed them on my third day here & so vociferously that I got infracted.

A joke here:
I have just said a day before that rules are here discriminatory. People don't get banned for spamming. And next day to appease me , many spammers who were spamming got banned. So I am not complaining that you have deleted the members.

Its just that I formed a bond with member on this forum & when a member leave i feel little sad. Anyway I have blocked all the former members in gtalk now for I feel otherwise I might not forget them. Also, lies they were telling about me. Though I never had any issue with anyone. I just spoke the truth. So I am not welcome there & will not go there.

@Kix. You know what if morrow there is vote that spamming be allowed then I feel spammers will win. So don't always go with votes. Thats not democracy. Will write someday article on it. It is more about freedom.
At one point you have told me to go for quality not quantity & I am going for it. Its just that when others were scoring runs against Bangladesh I too feels that I don't lag behind. Though I was lagging behind still.

I have a of the record using least smilies & gonna maintain it. No one search for smilies in google ( perhaps except me to understand what heck was that smily ). So it didn't bring any seo.

Also I have at one point said that rep be abolished due to you give me give you system which had stopped.
I have already said that junk be removed they are reducing the quality of forums in my above post & a day be fixed for them.

Try to be crisp and concise and put forth your point with minimal
jumping around. I know there is a point or two somewhere in your
rambling post but it sort of gets lost in all the allusions to
Bangladesh runs, Richard Stallman, Star Wars, Star Trek, Hacker ethics etc.

I have included the analogy of Bangladesh only there to show that those who spam are scoring runs against Bangla & those who post quality post are scoring against Australia. Runs: Post. Quality : Opposing teams. This is called analogy.

I have not used any other thing you have mentioned. Any way you have forgotten many others which I do used.

In simple word I want:
1. Junks to be deleted regularly & a day be fixed. or
2. A way to stop junks.

Read my first post clearly where I have said
I meant to say member don't cry like they did earlier & rebel. I want the policy of removing junks to be regular so that we get member who don't spam.

I am proud to say that I was pioneer among these two:

1. To raise my voice against spamming when I had not even completed my 100 posts here & said people are not reading good threads & then admin read mine gave me rep. He was the first. J4k the second probably. I started junk only when I saw that junk are really legal here & a good way to increase post count & not be bullied by those who have higher. When a directive came to stop I stopped doing that so much so that I made fun of those spamming & irritated them.

2. When a demand was raised to increase reps, I have said then that they have lost significance due to Bartering or as I say you give me you system which had now stopped.

We have probably discussed this enough time and we all are saying the same thing but thinking that others are saying something different.

Why spam was removed without warning, why major posts were wiped off with no inkling, why id's were deleted, what was right, what was wrong, etc. is all history now. We all have our views and opening such items for discussion is quite pointless. Suffice to say that some good posts were also lost in the mass cleanup and some id's (a very few) were deleted by mistake.

I mean no disrespect to "the departed" - they had different ideas and believed, and very sincerely too, that forum is a place to come and chat; otherwise it is a boring place. To a small extent I agreed/still agree with them but when there is too much chat, the main purpose of the forum is lost. The tech threads get hidden in a mass of meaningless banter.

A suggestion was made to remove certain sections from iSpy, last 25 posts, etc. (aparently to get over the spam issue). That, I am afraid, is not the solution. Many people (even me) do not use iSpy. For example, I use "New Posts" search. So then, do we filter such sections from this query too? Then what about some good threads in such sections?

The ex-members have formed their own forum. They seem to be very happy chatting there. And someone has created fake id's of Admin and just4kix and are extremely happy to have created a punching bag. They have used the word filter feature to replace our names by some vile ones. Next, someone will create an effigy of Smoothvibes and Rameshjee and maybe a few more members from here.

Fine by me. This does not affect me at all. But I will just say one thing - this kind of behaviour is best described by the adjectives of the words "pathos" and "pity". It seems that they cannot live without insulting us. Indeed that is the bane of their survival. But not all on that forum are same and I must congratulate such people that they are showing maturity.

I still wish all of them all the best.

So this is the last word on the thread. If someone wishes to make an important observation, please post here in the next 24 hours, after which I will close the thread. But I do hope that we do not revert back to this topic again.

Oh my GOD... I had a look at that thread they started using my name and calling me "scum of the internet" and what not... well I did have second thoughts that some people that got deleted shouldnt have been deleted and deserved another chance but after reading that thread I am happy over the decision we made to kick them all out Thanks for taking the guilt out of my heart once and for all.

That "Parminder" id you are talking about isint me and I dont have time for your all this in the first place... I am 100% sure its you and your gang creating Just4kix and Parminder id and coming up with weired ideas to give us both a bad name... well I dont care and you are not some one I think about or talk about and those people I deal with already know what and who I am and I dont need a certificate from cheapers like you.

You are saying that my e-mail id was used as well... I bet US $1 million if you can prove that my e-mail id was "confirmed" as well... and if you cant prove it then just piss off and don't show your sorry face here and do not send messages using the contact us form.

By the way I use spam cat for all my e-mails and I have got logs of every e-mail sent and received at a third party server I do not have any control over so if you've got a face then prove it... else stop accusing me.


I am very well aware of you guys coming here and sending PM's to new members here teling them stories which are not true and inviting them to your forum... well some of them reported those messages to me...

I really feel sorry for all of you. Get a life... and dont loose sleep over how to give me and Just4kix and this forum a bad name as you wont get anything out of it... God thats bad! People who got banned are my friends from this forum and I feel sad that they got banned, but I never thought that things could be kiddish! Its like nursery kids! Get on with life, get a grip guys! Seriously I have never seen that much immaturity!

The two points from those who got banned and J4K point are true to their own extent. This is a tech forum and the no tech things did ruin the forum in a way according to SEO terms and so on, those who got banned then created their own forum fine, leave it at that! Swearing at each other replacing names with bad words.....speechless!

Well if those messages which are on the forum are so bad and as claimed its from Admin and J4K, then they would have been deleted, instead they are still there! I know if something like this was posted here it would deleted, hence proves a point of those ids being created by someone on that forum!

I too used to think that all the people who got deleted were my friends. (OK. Not all maybe. You can't expect to be friends with everyone.) I also thought that perhaps by deleting the id's, they got a raw deal. Spammers or not, rebels or whatever, they were still friends and humans, or at least I thought.

I knew that they had formed a forum but I neither knew the name nor bothered to know. But four or five days ago, I came to know that I have an id there. This was most intriguing.

So naturally I started searching for the it on google. The google search "<that forum url>+just4kix" was enough. I looked at the forum and found a thread started (apparently) by me. All all over the forum, my user name (just4kix) is replaced by "The childish spammer who loves to patronise" by using the word filter feature. How childish? How pathetic?

On one hand they say (on many threads) history is history - let us not dwell on it. And then they create our id's, pseudo-threads, call us names, etc.

Members of IBF, do you know what else they do? Using our id's they post the worst profanities. Then they delete that post but not before posting:

So walk the talk guys. Stop mentioning us all together. Or as Admin said that if someone wishes to mask names then use the '*' character or you could replace "just4kix" with "mod of previous forum" and "Parminder" with a similar name. I can understand anger and anguish. If we are so vile and filthy, stop mentioning us all together.

And finally, why don't you delete all our threads/post on your forum and delete our id's? That would be a fitting reply of what we did to you, wouldn't it?

Do I care? No. I don't care what I am called. There are over 6.7 billion people in the world. These 15-20 ex-members are an insignificant part of the world. I know what I am worth (knowledge-wise). Admin knows what he is worth. Our IBF KB articles are tagged and linked back to many other websites across the world. Thousands of visitors download our guides. So there.

The day I read about "my post" in that forum and saw the word filters, I lost whatever sympathy I had for my (so called) "ex-friends". I basically try to look at bright side of things. I am very forgiving. I forgive them for their childishness - we may be no more friends but I choose to be civil.

I had stopped mentioning all of the ex-members on any public/private thread but those threads on that forum compelled me to mentioned them here because I want all you here to see and judge for themselves. That is another reason why I chose to be offtopic on this thread.

p/s. Interestingly, my thread was created on 15-Sep-09 and is already 16-17 pages long. My thread begins like this:

Subject: Angel for rescue!
Yeah. I would also like know who. And the person does not know how to write proper English too. "Angel for rescue"? It should be "Angel to the rescue". And what rescue? Rescue from what? Addiction? Oh yes. You guys are addicted to me! How could I forget?

Parminder's thread is even more dramatic. It was started on 21-Sep-09 and is having 6 pages. His thread is like this:

Look at the coloured highlights. Isn't that much better and laughable than Navgemi's (gem) jokes?

p/s. My IP has been 192.150.10.200 for the last few days. So ex-members prove that I am me on your forum.

When I saw Parminder and Just4kix in the other forum I was the first to
say that they were not the real people from here and that someone
created those ids to create trouble.

Now, who is the one person who has a beef with members of both
forums and also is capable of the sociopathic behavior exibited and
the mental unstability displayed.

There is only one person who fits the bill and that is Jatinder.
My theory is it is all his work to foment trouble between the two fora
and sit back and watch in wicked glee.

And the sad thing is all of are falling into his insidious trap.

So, my sincere request to Jatinder, please stop these nefarious
activities and seek professional psychiatric help as soon as
possible.

The rest of us carry on with our lives and ignore whatever
that psychopath comes up with.

Also they had deleted his other id's and they could have deleted these two also. It is very easy to trace IPs. For one thing, I never hide behind a proxy and neither does Admin.
