I just did a test post (this one) and it showed up here : http://www.indiabroadband.net/vaispy.php
The block at the bottom of the home page only shows new threads and not posts made in old threads that is to get more attention to new threads as they used to get buried pretty quick without getting much exposure.
I looked into every possible reason but did not find anything unusual. You will have to excuse me for not being able to find out the reason why it did not show up on latest page as I am not much of a vbulletin guy. If this persists please let me know and I will try to get Parminder look into this.
sometimes some error creeps in.
I have been requesting to close old threads , on the basis of
number of posts ( say 50) or time period say ( 1 month).
Nobody reads all the posts having 145 posts!
and take up the latest
one and the topic is diverted.
You may have a template similar to this.

@dmin
These errors are appearing , if a thread having a POLL is
combined with the posts.
Poll/s should not be mixed with other posts .
For instance my Post No 9 is listed in BSNL forum as
UPDATE at 2320 PM : No post by me at this time.
Attachment 6326
Separate Forum for polls may eliminate this kind of errors.
We only click in the voting papers on different Polls created !

I will try to find a hack for this purpose! something which would lock all threads that are inactive for the last 30 days.
I would prefer to wait for the 4.0 version of vbulletin to be released before we apply new hacks as it would just complicate matters if old hacks dont work with the new to be released version of vbulletin.
I have seen threads running for two years in forums. I think tech threads should be allowed a little longer.
Those two year threads are still active because of regular posts.
But some threads die after a month of inactivity and some one comes up (usually a new member) and posts an (unwanted) answer/reply. Essbebe is recommending closing such old/dead threads. I am in full support.
I recommend closing old threads step by step:
a) First close all threads that have not had a reply in the last six months
b) Next close threads that have had no posts for last 90 days
c) Finally close threads that have had no posts for last 45 days
I recommend the limit to 45 days.

It should be on case to case basis. Some thread should never be closed like those on guides but after a while other can be. As thread related to guides might get queries on them.
Thread started today:
1.zte zxdsl 531b security
by same user about 5 months back on same topic
2. http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...some-site.html (Restrict some site)
Even User does not like to refer his own old threads !,
and forgets to give feedback.
3.
After another say 2 years, a newbie/user will click
this thread No 2. and raise the same question !
or give a proper solution to post No 1 ( in thread 2).
My proposal was LOCK thread NO 2 because
(a)No response from thread starter,,
(b)no further posts for more than a month.
(c)Solution not confirmed.
.Lock the thread and give the message to the newbie,/user

Yes that should be done in these cases.
