Top thread starter contest 6th Jan -16th

The stats thing is ready and its better then what we had last time....

We would also have one prize every month for member of the month that would be decided by Aaron. We would also take recomendation from senior members but the final decision would be of the Aaron.

Rs3000 every month for the member of the month title which will be decided on the 1st of every month.

The main contest is going to be every 10 days and the prize money can be changed depending upon the response we get.

The first 10 days starting today would carry 3 prizes for "top thread starter"

1st : Rs 5000
2nd: Rs 2000
3rd : Rs 1000

The stats can be viewed from the bottom of the home page by everyone... it is set to show the last 10 days stats so that means on the 10th day it would automatically show the last 10 days top thread starter and we take a screen shot and declae the winners.

I will wait for some of you to reply before this starts.... I would more then welcome any last min objections... suggestions words.. etc

If everyone is ok with this we will start this from 18:00 today 6th of Jan and the first winners will be declared same time 16th of Jan 18:00 hrs

I will also send out an e-mail to all the members so we get some more participants as by the looks of it I dont think we have more then 3 of you competing so its gonna be very easy this time.

I forgot to add that bullshit will not be tolerated and would result in you getting disqualified from the contest. Any meaningless threads will be deleted and one liners are not allowed..

Those threads which would look like they are posted just to increase thread count would get deleted instantly.

Copied content will always be removed and is not allowed on this forum any way.


The question is what can you post? You could post latest news but make sure its not copy pasted. You could create tutorials... and so on...

Thats a valid point raised by 'meetdilip', in fact there are few members whose threads are just out of sense and they just keep on doing that

1 suggestion, add a stat showing the total number of threads that have been started in the contest period. Would be nice to see a good number there


Any word on who will be the Mods ?

Do we need to make a new ID ?

Also, i assume that threads started as a Question/problem will NOT be included as any1 can make a problem up and waste everyone's time.

I think if you win the 1st prize along with the top quality prize it would only take you 10 days to get the extras you need for your rig

And its going to be very very easy first time around as not many people know about it... Give it a few days and this contest will spread like wild fire You would see so many new registrants come up to participate in the contests.

Dont worry about that issue as I am going to be very strict on the quality of threads front.

If you see someone posting junk all you need to do is press the report button and tell why you think it is junk and it will be promptly looked into.
