Thread: Mark Topic as Solved

Kindly install Mark Topic as Solved Mod for VB. it will help a lot.

yeah it will help a lot.

but may be after solving the problem,any new problem again on the topic arises and then we have to start a new thread.

If interested in getting more, threads every day
better to close all old threads after a period of time,
whether topic/problem solved or not.

2. User/Member/newbie after selecting an old thread, will see a message

This thread is very old. and closed. Please start a new thread. on the subject.

Mark Topic as Solved

1. It will just put a tick indicating that the topic is solved and not locked.
2. Only topic starter or Admin or Mod can mark it as solved and not others.


This is how the mod for VB works. I have it in SMF forum. and it helps a lot.

Ontopic: This will be very very useful. The thread starter can mark the post that fixed the problem and that can be linked in the first post automatically.

In a thread with say 30 posts, the thread starter will say

problem solved . thanks all.

I formatted my hardisk

etc.
Majority of users do not even post a reply
after the problem is solved.

2.Then after two years , the same thread with 30 posts , will be opened by a Newbie
and he/she will say

I have the same problem Help !

You have to go by the thread title and read all the posts from beginning to get head or tail of the subject.
If a thread is inactive for more than say 30 days it should be locked.
