Forum pages loading times

As some of you already know that Ive been working a lot lately to some how reduce the amount of time it takes to serve pages to our visitors/members.

I have been running from pillar to post doing everything in the book to bring the loading times to an acceptable limit but to be honest we are still no where near the mark we should ideally be at.

Now My question is does anyone feel any difference in the time it takes to load a page as compared to a few hours ago or say yesterday?

Do you guys feel any difference? Please post your experiences about what difference you feel as compared to yesterday .... is the forum loading slower? faster? or the same?

I also have another request.... If you know some forum (vbulletin) that you think loads faster then ours here please post the url so I can go have a look and see what are they doing differently to make that difference that you are able to notice it.

Yes the difference its now loading bit faster compared to before.

indiabroadband.net is doing great since it moved here to wiredtree. But I have seen better load times in webhostingtalk.com.. u might also take a look at techenclave.com

We cannot really compare with WHT they are hosted with Rackspace and thats a few thousand dollars they are paying. Will check out techenclave

Ok WHT does not load faster then our forum but tech enclave is lightening fast... I will try to get in touch with the Admin there and see if he/she is kind enough to tell me what all tweaks he has done for mysql to serve pages so fast and also their server's config.

Actually tech enclave is faster then almost every vbulletin forum I have ever been to .... excellent work there.

Its not just the latency although latency is the major part but how fast a server can generate pages to be server to their visitors also plays a major role and that is dictated by the muscle your server has and I know we do not lack in that department as the config we have is already an over kill....

Its just about tweaks I would say which techenclave has done a lot better job then we have here.

Mine is :
Packet sent = 10
Packet Received = 10

Approximate round trip times :
Minimum = 256ms
Maximum = 257ms

since morning the page load times of IB has been brilliant.. kudos to the Admin..

yeah for me too the speeds are good. currently using Aircel.
