Thread: Important : Yahoo mail user (yahoo, ymail, rocketmail)

Hi members and visitors,

Yahoo has blacklisted our site and any e-mails sent to a yahoo address from our site gets returned back... It could be anything like registration verefication mail, instant reply notification when some one posts in the threads they you may have subscribed or be it a PM notification Yahoo users are not getting any of those and there is a long que of yahoo users who have not verified their e-mails just because Yahoo has banned our site.

Now the only option we have is to restrict registrations using Yahoo mail services which are e-mail users who have e-mail addresses from the following domains:

Yahoo.com
yahoo.co.in
ymail.com
rocketmail.com

Any members who have these as their e-mail address will need to change it to something else.... My advice would be use Gmail.com but you are free to use anything buy Yahoo.


Aaron asked me to have a look into the admin e-mail address and to my surprise we have more then 20k e-mail sitting there and they are all returned or bounced messages all from Yahoo.

Moral of the story is that Yahoo sucks.

But google is very good and i registered gmail on IBF.

Yahoo is super crazy.. one can never send emails @yahoo.co.in ..

yahoo servers think they are best in all world, but who cares i often check their website for looks, and same super crazy yahoo theme..

i wish yahoo can revive , just opposite to what you think...

they have even blacklisted even my google apps domain f u yahoo

Yahoo is losing on profits. So it is a new strategy to curb their losses. You knw the geocities the first & oldest site to give free webspace is closed by them to curb on losses. New CEO of Yahoo's strategy suck.

and most people prefer yahoo than google.

but i prefer google.

i got the world's most nigerian mails when i was on yahoo.. i got so irritated that i even replied to one " i will call police and tell your details" but still they sent..
someone hacked my yahoo pass for an account, i hacked my brother's pass, so it was like that

Same issue here but its not frequent. Me too run a forum with 5K members and if any member uses yahoo mail , registration fails they send me email from their yahoo account but account activation mail from forum does not reaches their inbox. I am planning to put a notice on registration page now.

I am in the process of finding out which other mail providers mask with their own brand and still use yahoo coz they are getting bounced as well... Indiatimes does..

for me Indiatimes and yahoo sucks a big time. Gmail , Rediff are good so far.

Indiatimes takes 2-3 days just to send a bounce back mail lolzzzzz

This is not the solution

Solution is dump gmail so that yahoo & hotmail too can profit.

Attention all.

This site is not black listed. Currently yahoo is facing some problem. Any mails sent from Yahoo to Yahoo itself is throwing "Mailer demon"

So no worries, the problem is with Yahoo

@mickey. Because then you will be able to read them as you are the president ( your avtar). & probably only you have that id.

My solution. Google bomb Yahoo to get their attention.

^i don think its the attention. Yahoo is suffering alot of losses. They have stopped many services cause they cannont fund them at all. I wish yahoo a revival.

Please add Googletalk or Gmail in the Instant messenger section of the CP. there is no provision there as of now.

I have enabled yahoo mail now so anyone who wants to use Yahoo they can. I sent an e-mail and got a satisfactory reply from Yahoo and they have assured they would do everything to make sure this doesn't happen again.

LOL I sent them a very stinky e-mail regarding this and they replied very very nicely and apologized for the whole episode.... and in the end bhaiya all is well...
