Default Why am i not able to edit first post?

Admin/mod i was trying to edit the first post on this thread http://www.indiabroadband.net/tata-s...e-upgrade.html (New Tatasky software upgrade) (originally started by me) and now why can't i edit the first post?

I want to edit that first post so that i can update with pics i posted here http://www.indiabroadband.net/tata-s...tml#post288193 (New Tatasky software upgrade)

Now if you say that "I will do that for you" then forget thats not at all fine. The original poster should be able to edit his first post. Atleast for updating the first post suppose i got a new info then i want to share with all then?

Editing of posts (by users) is allowed for a limited period - four hours or so. After that, posts cannot be edited by normal users.

This is the feature that is implemented.

Now thats a weird rule, i haven't seen such rule in any other forum. Well all i can say is i request admin to enable this thing because a growing community like India broadband forum needs the ability to edit first post if you go through some of the forum you would come to know how ppl use a single thread to give a ton of knowledge. Anyways i know rule can't be changed by the saying of one person.

So, better i make new thread for each line of update - SPAM

I don't think so he meant that admin is "Lame"!!
    Not "Indirectly"!!
He is pointing the Finger ""Directly"" to the "Rule"
Not the admin what admin can so is change the rule if he finds that it should not exploit the "Forum's" "Image"
So please don't prove him wrong as what he wants to convey is only cleared to the "open minded" persons!!

Yeah exactly as what Ace_A said i dont mean directly or indirectly that admin is lame, iam talking about the rule not the admin u r bringing him without any reason.

And if you still think so that i meant admin is lame then you are too lame because Admin and mods decide the rules with all the forum members opinion too so directly or indirectly you too helped him so you are lame (I am joking dont take seriously)

It has the "Advantage" that it's a "Forum Rule" and by following this rule our "Forum's Image" will be more "Vibrant"

No. This change is not recent.

People have not never been able to edit their own posts after a certain time window.
