Thread: DSL Modam and Router configuration

Hello!

I hope all members r fine. I m Omaima from Lahore, I have some problem regarding my network in my home. please help me in this regard.

I am using ptcl broadband of 4m, ptcl provide me a modem model as: "ZXDSL 831CII", one of my main computer is directly connected to this modem, for this ptcl provide me a user name and password, when I dial this username and pwsd it says "connecting to WAN miniport (PPPOE)".

now my problem is that I have a router of "TPlink, TL-WR941N" and I want to connect my laptops through this router but I don't know how to configure both of these devises.

help me please.

Right now your modem is in bridge/dialer mode. You must change the modem configuration to PPPoE, wherein userid/pwd is stored inside the modem. There are enough guides on this forum for you to help you with that.
