I have not been on the forum (actively) for almost 2 weeks now. No idea about the ban.

Must be some script mistake. I had asked admin to look for IP addresses of recently banned people. We do ban IPs of offenders and spammers and this may be the result. I do not know how this works.

(Edit): I found that imrock was banned - no idea why.

So I have removed the ban, and banned the id 'imrock0' to be consistent with our policy of not having duplicate id's.

glad it is fixed now, the poor kid was really upset last night...

How are you able to post ? Ban lifted automatically ?

never ban users based on IP or IP range.Ban them using username , email ID

and why not have registration based on activation and CAPTCHA while registering account ( not sure if this already in place)

but the same guy came back with other IDs, not once but 10+ times. The guy was so jobless he even made different email Ids every time...

what he use to spam ? i would love to know it. same happened on my forum where he used to spam with every singe post posting his link to blog lol

he later told me that , he was despo to get more traffic

There is a script running that is using IP addresses of banned members - sometimes it bans good members also.

I check from time to time on banned user list and if I find banning for no reason, I remove the ban.

Thank god my username is so so unique no one try to use it...
