How secure is the forum?

India has a tax paying population of 31.5 million and the number is supposed to increase significantly in the coming years. Looking at the number, there is no doubt about the similar phishing attacks happening in future and that’s obvious. All we need is Security awareness about the online scams and attention to our online identities.

P.s report based on a scam that originated from Russian servers into Indian business and tax payer's mailboxes..

i am afraid, nothing is safe. Online marketting, mails, forums, so this is the question for today.

always check the address bar for "Pseudo web sites" and try not to make online purchases as far as possible

Secure in what way?

Since we do not enter our credit card numbers when we post here, or anything like that, I do not think there is anything to worry about.

Basic common sense still required, though. Since my "handle" on several forums (a mistake, but its been too many years to put right now) bears more than a passing resemblance to my real name, I do take care not to do things like post clear holiday dates. Why advertise an empty house? Similarly, I've heard of a person being drugged and robbed by someone they met on another forum. Whereas these things are often myths, in this case, although I don't know the victime, I do know the person who told the story.

Is this forum secure? I'd say that the answer is, "it doesn't matter": so long as we use basic common sense.

Oh, and of course... so long as we don't use the same password here as we do to access sites where confidential matter is available!

Encrypt the login process. But then, you don't use the same password here as you do for your bank, do you?

As to encrypting the rest: no point. What we are posting is public anyway.

are we safe carrying a bag of cash and walk to bank, or withdraw large amount and travel back, carry 500gr of gold, go to ATM at midnight due to emergency etc?
i saw some member erasing their username when posting some images of screen shots, all funny concepts to think around.
Yes, One should definitely be careful but as some one joked, due to over care, we purchase additional problems. a simple example is frequently looking at your baggage in a train or bus can cause harm
trying to hold pockets slightly bulging, creates hope in a thief that we have some precious thing in pocket.
