Thread: Moderation:

Even a post giving link to IBF threads goes to moderation, and does not appear later.
Wasted effort/time in composing a post.
Please check VB settings.

This moderation thing is driving me crazy...
Today 3 of my post went to moderation...

Seems like it is a black hole NOTHING comes back from it.

Again logged in.

That is how we make things easier.

I use the following method to overcome this problem:
1. Create the post without the links.
2. Now use the edit option and then add the links.

Curiously the links don't go for moderation when added via the edit option.

I know the anti spam mod is doing a great job censoring the content, but it is really quite annoying for the users who add content to this site. When typed a good reply and try to post it, it says ..

Please find some moderator so that we can either get it approved sooner or any other way out. It seem just4kix is really busy these days, what about smoothie ? Or you can ask anyone whom you trust to handle the moderated posts at least (not full mod powers). I hope you have a lot of friends who will do it for you.

Yes, we can do it like that. But normally I suggest threads in which the same question is already discussed. It is a extra effort that we need to take every time. Please don't think I am lazy. We can do this for say 3 months or so, but we badly need someone to handle posts going to moderation if there is no option to add exception for regular users. It is just finding someone who can handle it.

Smoothie has been possessed by a ghost from the dark ages! Just4kix seems busy with work and I have been busy with work as well.
I have more time on hand now and will be online more often then before.

Moderation queue has been cleared at least once every 24 hours even in times when I didn't get time to be online for more then a few mins. I will try to clear moderated posts more often now.

One way to avoid your posts going in the moderation queue is to strip the http or www part from the link. For ex: xyz/abc.com

I agree that it won't be a link then. However, users are smart enough to copy-paste these urls in the browser's address bar.
