    Default Google plus

We now have a Google plus button on top left corner. I would highly appreciate if atleast our regular users could hit the + thing on the home page. We only have 6 people that have done it so far!

    Thanks

No your id is not recorded and the site owner or visitors do not get to see who liked this page, its just those people who are in your own friends list that will get to know that you like this page... other then that its just a number up there and completely annomous. If in future someone stops liking the page they can just click it once again and it will take it off for you.

    @Mickey
Google plus is in beta and will be available for everyone soon. Facebook was a phase that will fade away just like twiter will in years to come... these things come and go from time to time.

Google plus is the real deal

You can have a look at whats coming : https://plus.google.com

    @ ashishcw
If you have java script disabled you wont see it. Its on the left top corner just below the site banner.

I am not a member myself but even those who have an invite they cant register yet because they have got enough people already and will open it up again once beta testing is over.

You dont have to register with Google plus to 1up this site. You just have to be logged into your Google account... it can be your gmail or anything.

    @admin,

looking at the prospectives of google plus.,... and their marketting team.. (check the girl on google plus page for more)

i am starting to add more funds to my piggy bank... putting all my black stuff there, safe from Kapil Sibal's glorious vigilance...(damn i meant politically)..

so now to add fun to this thread..

i see the future as this..
Microsoft after a month buys facebook,
    Google buys Microsoft,
    Apple buys Google,
    IBF buys Apple,
I buy IBF (all in cash dont worry... baba will help me )

Site from home gaya bhad mein... AIrtel se bolo FUP band kare.. BSNl se bolo 3G signal do!!!!>: (

This must be very annoying guess!

Just logged into gmail, so, if I can find that button, I'll click on it for you

Facebook doesn't appeal to me. Will Google-plus? I don't know. I do know that I get on best with the forum approach, and belong to too many.

I have a facebook account and initially I spent a lot of time on facebook but it doesnt appeal me any more and I feel its reduced to a place where people come to show off and look "cool" instead of being themselves... I know people who bought iphones because they wanted that posted from iphone thing under their status.. even thought they didint need an iphone or in some cases I know for a fact that couldnt afford one but ended up buying on due to peer pressure or whatever you may call it. I find it disgusting.

Life has to be simple and I normally put my efforts towards making myself happy and be able to live in peace and that does not include trying to make other people jealous but thats what the whole facebook thing is built upon unfortunately.. You buy a new car you post your cars pictures and say here's my new ride.. You go on a holiday to a posh destination on purpose so you could post your pictures on facebook... I like going to my village and spending some time there and thats where my facebook profile picture is from as well and I believe majority of the crowd would not do it just because the "cool" factor is kind of missing and that puts me off of facebook. I cant say weather Google+ is on the same road or not but I find it a lot simpler and feel I am not on display on Google+ like Facebook makes me feel.

In the end the key lies in accommodating both kinds of crowd on the same platform and letting people have the freedom of choosing the sect they belong to... the "kool" sect and the uncool one which I belong to Who ever can do it better will come out a winner and Google+ in my opinion is one up at the moment.

There are too many "have nots" and they dont like that tag but facebook lets these people pretend that they are not "have nots" because Facebook lets them post selective information by means of pictures, videos or text and so on... This is what lead to the credit problem the western countries are going through right now and there is no way out... Its living beyond thier means which ultimately leads to a crunch when you are not able to borrow more and you cannot cut down on spending... Platforms like Facebook exploit this very human nature and fuel it in different ways and contribute to the problem and making a lot of money in the process.
I will save the rest for an appropriate thread

We need more of those Google +'s

I guess it is a question of who you are, how you like to be, and how you use the platform.

If I'm at home, I'm sitting in front of the PC. It is my source of information and entertainment (don't watch TV) and also an important part of my social life as a place where I interact with other people, some of whom are known to me in the physical world, many of whom are not.

My wife spends an hour or two every day using the PC. She has a facebook account: I do not. She uses it to keep in touch with three or four friends. I have to confess that I rely on her to pass on some of that news as the facebook effect seems to stop people sending out mails to other friends (one friend even tells me: follow me on facebook, I don't time to send out mails as well). Sometimes I think, it is inevitable that I'll join up one day.

I "joined the internet" just before www took off. My first experience was the UK bulletin board CIX, which I enjoyed enormously, but gave up as it's UK-based content became less and less relevant to me (and it wasn't free) and then there was USENET, although in that vast mountain of information I mostly just stuck to rec.music.indian.classical and some techie stuff, as I was on the path of self-learning Unix at the time.

From there, I joined several forums. The forum format (not that big a jump from bulletin boards and USENET) suits me. You hop into a conversation, you hop out. If one is a regular, it has an attached social element, but it is content-based.

Whether it is Myspace, Facebook, or even Twitter, they don't appeal to me personally. Who knows, yet, if Google+ will be any different?

In the end, if communicating with people I want to talk to means joining one or the other, I suppose I will ...

I don't like any social networks..
    Chatting is enough..
theres a lot of adding and deleting people and lots of fake ids as well..

Chatting is good.. if you get email of your friend from another friend(which is probably a gmail) you can do enough videos and music posting to each other. then theres the group chat too , i like it...

    facebook, is fkbook..

I thought Google+ only for personal usage?

There are too many social network sites ... I have very limited time to manage all the social network sites. So, remain Facebook and Twitter at the moment will do
