    Default Forum performance

I see a noticable change in the speed at which pages load on the forum today. Has anything changed or is it my connection which has gone super fast over night.

I actually get pages loaded before I can even blink. Is it just my connection or is everyone else experiencing some change in page load times. It may be that my connection sucked before and today it is working better.

Please post here if you are also seeing a difference in speed.

Ok so it is not just my connection then. I was getting happy thinking something good has happened to my broadband connection. It is good that every one is experiencing this change. Has something changed with internet infrastructure or what? Would some one care to explain what has brought this change? Even submitting the reply takes a very less time now.

I am happy for you guys but I am not as fortunate as you both are. My waiting time has increased and some times even take more then a min to load a page. Admin is no where to be seen!

    @Tanmaya
Which browser are you using and are you really telling the truth when you say have to wait more then 1 min or you just exaggerating. I really think there should not be a wait of more then 3 seconds. If page loads are taking more time then that even on a 128kbps connection then please let me know and I can at least try to help resolve the problem for you.

If you do want me to have a look at what may be causing this, I would need remote access. Shoot a PM if you are comfortable with giving me remote access.

I am using internet explorer on windows 7. I have sent you a PM but I don't know what I was supposed to say in the PM ha ha ha so its just a hello admin message.

Ok I checked again and the time it takes to load a page is about 11-12 seconds.

It's because of Internet Explorer. It's not as fast as Chrome, Safari or Firefox.

My problem is solved. Spoke to Admin over the phone and he got me to download Google Chrome browser. I forgot to mention in my earlier post that other websites take even longer to load he he he. According to Admin my computer is underpowered and it takes time for my computer to process requests and he says my browser which was internet explorer was making matters even worse so I now have Google Chrome and this websites pages are downloading very fast.

Thanks for helping with my ancient computer

Yes I know. That is the kind of reaction I got from Admin too. I have always used IE. As per admin it is not the fault of internet explorer it was the tool bars that I have got installed one on top of the other Admin has explained the way to uninstall them one by one from control panel but I think I would use chrome from now on as every one is recommending it.

Have you ever tried safari? I use it and I find it very good as compared to other browsers. You would need a little time to get used to it at first but once you become familiar you would not use anything else. If you do buy a new computer as your current one is too old then have a look at mac. Lot better then windows computers. You may have to spend a little extra initially but mac is so much better the windows.

I will have a look into this tonight. On this forum yes there is a problem I see that but on India travel forum there is no back end issue. Try uploading an image that is larger then the 100x100 that we use here because on the travel forum limits are relaxed and unfortunately it wont process very tiny images so use a bigger one.

I am working on the avatar problem here and hope to resolve it with help from a friend because I am not able to find out what had gone wrong. This problem has been there for a while and Ive just been too lazy to deal with it. This will be resolved in a day or two for sure.

Travel forum is a new forum that was launched back in September and is getting busy now. Do check it out if you have interest in traveling : www.indiatravelforum.in I would love to have you as a member there aswell.

Dhyaan mudra was of great help and when I opened my eyes and said abra ka dabra... the problem was resolved. I can see all the thumbnails being displayed fine aswell.

If anyone is still facing this issue please let me know and I will go back into dhyaan
