Thread: Broadband by Government

hi all,
I saw in today's news that the state government of Tamil Nadu is going to provide, broadband internet connection, cable t.v and land line through optic fibre.. It seems that this plan would come up in few more months. Do you guys have any idea about this (especially chennai users) i also heard that, the total rent for this service is charged to a minimum of Rs.500 at the beginning.

I guess is this is the right place to discuss, can the admin move it to broadband news please.

even though if they come up with such plans, I doubt the service provdided by the tamil nadu government would be good. They have a very good history of very poor service to comman, great example is their PDS system. I will stick with my poor old bsnl broadband for now!!
