    Angry The Horrible Hathway!

I was a subscriber to Hathway internet few years back. I had subsequently switched to BSNL broad band, 3 years back and I am quite comfortable with BSNL.

My experience with Hatway was a nightmare... never had the promissed speed, no proper attention for the numerous complaints i had made. Though they identified and agreed that the speed is poor, they could not rectify for months together. Finally i had settled their account once for all. This all happened more than 2years back.

Suddenly I started getting bills from Hathway for the non-existing internet connection show a due amount of about rs.9000=00. I tried to call back to verify with them. No one attends the phone (04066989898). After verifying from Hathway web site, i tried to call their billing department, but the reply is to re check the number i had dailed.

To get free from the night mares of Hathway, I had got rid of them by settling thier account, after 2 and half years, again they started sending bills for the NON EXISTING INTERNET CONNECTION.

I am still getting head aches with Hathway Cable Internet service. Every alternate week, airing stops and the reason they say is cables are cut somewhere. They doesnt answer the phone when the cable tv system fails.
I wonder how they r surviving with such worst reputation. Ofcourse there is little alternative for cable tv in this particular area.

    Sekhar babu, Hyderabad.

    Your answers, my friend:

    a) You have already switched to BSNL, which is 50% problem solved.
    b) Get rid of Hathway cable and go for DTH from DishTV or TataSKY.
    c) Try visiting the Hathway center and tell them that you have had nothing to do with their internet services for over 2 years and stop sending bills. If they continue to do so, ignore them. Keep your records intact.

By the way this post should belong to Hathway section and not here, as this suggestions and complaints should belong only with regards to this forum and not regarding isp's.

by the way, you have done everything righ so far and can be confident that nothing wrong will happen as the evidence and all right things are on your side and hence you can even file a complaint in the broadband ombudsman, if any available!

Yes you can use the same tata sky or dish tv connection on two tv's in the sam house.. If you want to play the same channel on both the tv's you wont have to pay anything extra just connect the second television with the set top box's output and you are done but it will always play the same channel on both the tv sets.

If you want to be able to play different channels on both the televisions at the same time you would need another set top box and for Tata sky there is a charge of Rs125 per month for the second tv + whatever you already pay for the package. I am not sure how much dish tv guys charge.

Both DishTV and TataSky offer multi-TV option. The first connection is at the full price and the second/third/fourth connections are Rs. 125 per connection.
