Thread: User titles at India broadband

This has been pending for years now... So here we are...

At present we just have 3 different titles which doesnt really make much sense..

I am planning to set up custom user titles for members here according to the level of participation.. I would have done it long ago but I just couldnt make my mind on what the titles should be so if you could please suggest me some good ones and we go with the ones most members agree with

0-25 posts: ???
26-50 posts: ???
50-100 posts: ?
101-250 posts: ?
251-500 posts:?
501-1000 posts:
1001-1250 :1251-1500 :
1501-2000 :
2001-3000 :

Can we have a bit of broadband or isp touch? This might sound stupid but shall we have something like:

0-25 posts: Here for troubleshooting
26-50 posts: Still looking for a solution
50-100 posts: Is trying to help others
101-250 posts: India broadband think tank
251-500 posts: India broadband troubleshooter
501-1000 posts: Can make dial up work faster then broadband
1001-1250 : Is in search of fiber optic connection
1251-1500 : Has obtained broadband nirvana
1501-2000 : If I cant solve your problem no one else can
2001-3000 : Big daddy around here
3000+ : ???

I am not even sure if it takes so many characters in there...
Please come up with the craziest ideas and we can even break down the number of posts further so the titles would change pretty often and will make things a bit more exciting here.

Guys please come up with some bright ideas

According to my suggestion earlier I fall in this cat : 1251-1500 : Has obtained broadband nirvana which is not true... I am still stuck with sify.. and after a few posts I will be :
1501-2000 : If I cant solve your problem no one else can ! which is again not true.. can some one think of something more realistic please?

I suggest the following:

0-100: Junior Member
101-200: Bronze Member
201-350: Silver Member
351-500: Gold Member
501-700: Platinum Member
700+: Allow user to have any title of his/her choice except 'Administraor' or 'Moderator'.

The Administrator's title should be displayed in Navy Blue whereas Moderator's title should be displayed in blue. But I guess that there are no moderators in this forum.

I may prefer the name of administrator should be written in blood red

can u please assign some moderators here so that your work may get distributed.....i am not saying assign me ....assign someone whom you trust and is sensible enough!!

According to this suggestion, I too fall in the 1251-1500 list. But:

- I cannot claim to be a troubleshooter or solve problems no one else can. I can solve 60% cases at the most.
- I have definitely not attained the broadband nirvana
- I definitely consider that at least whitestar_999, superprash2003, skap and others to be more knowledgeable; I am just a good document maker.
- Chaps such as player are very sharp - young mind and all that.

OMG!!! this is very boring!! can't we have any humor in this...... these are "Uncle" type titles!!!!!!!........and not to mention you think there is some Olympics going around here that you are distributing medals!!!

Very simple. Reach 700+.

But jokes apart - we do need some seriousness to the forum also. I am OK about not having 'Olympic' style titles.

I expanded the no of posts because i thought 700+ post is too short to let a member to his own wish..

didn't even knew about this until player told me.i guess i am specifically active in BSNL broadband forum only.no jack of all trades for me.

I am not here to take a decision.. but to impliment decisions taken by our members.. thats why I posted this thread so every one can have a say.

This thread didint get enough participation but still the few members we have who are very active have come up with good suggestions and Ive just picked up one of them.
