That really looks like a really impressive list of channels considering you can get all these for Rs. 999 for one whole year when compared to other DTH services like tata sky and dish tv. I planning to switch to sun dth soon when available.

There is no updation in the SUN DTH.Now they where providing package schemes .

Is the packs are useful one.

I think packs are waste to community.

Both, DishTv and tataSky have a plan which covers multiple units with the same dish - for example a block of flats in a building. They will install a large dish on the building's terrace and run the cable to all flats that subscribe to their service. Each subscriber will get an STB and VC. This way multiple dishes for each subscriber are avoided. They will require two things:

a) At least 10 subscribers (but please check this up)
b) Permission from society to install the dish on the terrace.

Perhaps Sun DTH may be providing similar service.

Did not understand this question properly. Satellite Tv works this way:
  • The ground station of the company beams the encrypted content to the satellite.
  • The satellite is positioned in a geo stationary orbit (always stays at the same place above earth).
  • Some signals are also borrowed from neighbouring geo stationary stallites of other providers.
  • The signals are transmitted back to earth.
  • The small dish with LNB captures these signals and the connecting cable brings it into our house.
  • The STB receives the encrypted signal and decrypts it before displaying on the TV.
  • There is also a two way communication - our dish sends back the subscribers VC number, STB number, etc. for authetication

In the above mentioned method (Multiple Dwelling Units connection), each subscriber has the complete independence to apply for any pack that they like. Each subscriber has a STB and VC - and the subscription is determined by this. The common dish will always receive signals for all channels.

kixxi plz tell me.. wat is DTH ?? wat it stands for??? and this sun DTH is same tht new company.. sun direct??? it seems sun direct is like 999 for 10 months. so 99 per month.. i saw the add .. this sun direct which i am telling has opened an outlet in ahmedabad.. and how is this sun direct any idea?? performance.. i mean is the clarity and all nice as tata n dish tv??? worth buying?? i was planning to get one..

In Ahemdabad, go for TataSky or DishTV. Sun DTH may be great down south but has very little service outlets north of Karnataka.

Sun is great in Ahmedabad and seems that's its here to stay.
As many distis and dealers as TataSky...
Refrain from opting for Dish in Ahmedabad...
I have experienced all four (3 + In DTH)

Sun is though new in Ahmedabad i 've taken risk at one of my guest house.
Tata is a sure shot but a bit expensive than others but excellent service.

I am getting excellent picture from DishTV comparable to TataSky.

People should visit a dealer who deals in all three service providers and check the quality for themselves.

I have a dealer who deals in all 3....Out here all do. But then Tata is better in service as compared to Dish and has more density in terms of customers..

Actually, shouldn't Sun Direct be providing all the users with atleast 5-10 paid channels. Then, only can they manage their fight with the other providers.
