The default yearly charges after that is Rs 750/- , or Rs 75/- per month.
It varies depending upon the additional packs you select.

When TATA Sky launched in 2006, they charged Rs.3999 (2999+1000 installation) and they have not offered any free viewing time but offered launching offer of Rs.200/- for all channels (obviously number of channels were very few at that time). They have started charging from day one. It is better that now a days all the DTH operators are offering the packages for one year. But Tata Sky has not rewarded the early birds in that sense. So what is wrong if Dish TV charges 1999 that includes one year free viewing?

Hey Sumit! That was great. I think you should go into advertising and marketing. You will do great!. I agree that Tata Sky is better than Sun. Now, its also concentrating on expanding in south and is planning to add more channels as well. So I see it giving tough competition to Sun DTH in the future.

Sun direct was first launched in TN and was an instant success. It is claimed that they have more than 2 million subscribers. And using the MPEG-4 makes the service one of the best while i think tatasky is still with MPEG-2 transmission technique.
