your speed is quite low but ur friends speed is good
most 3G netwrks wll delver avg 2Mbps!a way upgrade to sick 2G !

My initial feedback
- Speeds are very slow.
Download from Speed Test 1.07 Mb/s andUpload 0.25 Mb/s
- Connection keeps dropping.
Sometimes the speeds are around 150KBps for a 3G Connection.
Customer Service is pathetic. They donot know the difference between a Windows Mobile and Android. They have generic settings for all. And say switch on Phone with UMTS enabled.
Need to wait for Airtel 3G which should be better
My connection speeds in Bangalore are
Download - 0.46 MBps
Upload - 0.13 Mbps

Tata docomo 3g network congestion TATA DOCOMO 3g not working today IN bangalore BECAUSE OF network Congestion
The CALL CENTER is asking me to try after 4 hours.
TO get a good 3G we need to try between 12AM and 6AM when all are asleep.
Tata Docomo claims that they have launched HSPA+ network with speeds upto 21 Mbps. Has anybody ever crossed even 10 Mbps? Try it on a 21 Mbps 3G modem. Then post your replies.
HSPA+ !!! ha ha ha ! thats a mirage ! all these r marketing gimmick!
that may be possible, HSPA+. becoz docomo (japan company : ntt docomo) is collaborated with tata tele service.

i am using docomo 2g sim with my umg1831 usb modem, the mobile partner shows hspa+ network getting speedtest result, torrent download and downloading with idm between 2.5 to 5 mbps but the simple browsing really sucks.
^^^ dude same experience with BSNL 3G too! Browsing is slow, compared to BSNL broadband, but download via IDM/uTorrent is good enough, varies in between 160-230kBps!
I guess it is due to high ping!
R thr any unlimited usage plans....i use bsnl 750 unlimited...my current monthly usage is around 35-40gb
currently no unlimited plans with in budget mate.

I bought new SIM yesterday. and It had 2GB free for FIRST use only (after that u need to recharge whatever 2G/3G plans)
I was just curious about 3G speed for TATA Docomo. So I start downloading torrent file [700MB movie] from torrific.
and bravo, it downloaded within 30-32min.
So I got speed from 4Mbps [500KB/s] to 5.5Mbps [650KB/s]
At Last, I finished ALL (2GB)
When I checked 3G plan for 2GB, Docomo providing it after payment of Rs2000 !!! thats BIG amount.
I used it after paying ONLY Rs20 for one SIM.
Anybody can buy any number of SIMs? How Docomo'll stop them?
but I hope nobody wanna buy new SIM for 2GB again n again.
