Thread: Tata DOCOMO 3g tariff plans

I came across Tata docomo's tariff page today for the first time and I have no idea when it was published/launched but there were no threads with tariffs on our forum so here are the details :

Its the same for both prepaid and post paid.

I wonder if these included calling mins are also valid for cross network calls because if they are not who is going to subscribe to these plans? I know I wont if it was available in my city.

What do you guys think about these tariff plans from Tata docomo?

Video calling is 5paisa per second which is Rs 3 per min and doesnt really matter much because I consider video calling a luxury but data charges on 3g is not what I was expecting.. hopefully other companies will come up with lower tariffs.

this is far costly.. and in my UPwest right now only meerut has it..

i am paying only 274 for the same thing on bsnl..

@admin you missed out on the speed

well i think that speeds are changing highly in 3G network..

most bts will deliver upto 3.6Mbps ........ 21Mbps is just marketin gimmick, as even u get slow speed, cant complain as there is no lower limit!

I believe BSNL is BEST now.

Bsnl is giving unlimited (no usage policies) internet.
My friend is using and he is getting 3 MBPS

I once bought tata photon plus still the plans sucks

just go through bsnl 3g offer...... 6 months unlimited at 3.6Mbps only 4200rs....ie unlimited @ 700 per month..... they hav 625 3g locations in india now.... u get only 2gb for 750 from tata... then see fup... unlimited @ 128kbps which is less than the speed of 2g edge... simply cheating.... while using plan 2000 u can download data for just 3hrs if u get a speed of 20Mbps... or 6hrs if u get a speed of 10Mbps... ie u hav to spend 2000rs for docomo 3g for 6hrs .... go for docomo itself...

You missed out the third tier of speed limits for the Rs 2000/- plan advertised as unlimited 21 mbps. Just read the T & C. I dont think there is a bigger cheating plan than this.
Its 15 GB @ 21 mbps (Theoretically this limit will be reached in 2 Hours)
The next 15 GB @ 128 kbps (Approx. 11 days)
The third tier is unlimited at 10 kbps (YES 10 kbps - that's like 1 KB / s)
My good old phone gave me a dialup connection of 14.4 kbps 10 years back
What else can be said.

It is ridiculously expensive and after you cross fair usage data the speed is 10 Kb/S. Ha..ha...reminds me of my net connection 15 yrs back :-)

even mtnl dial up was better it used to give me 30 kbps atleast

I have a query, if we buy our own 3G USB Dongle, would the plans remain same with 3G Docomo sim then?

Eg, Docomo is giving 3.6mbps dongle + connection for 2k, with 5GB unlimited at 1k/month.
Now if we buy our own dongle(un-locked), would the same plan apply?
