Thread: No more 3g singal in 2g plans. Bye bye tata docomo

From yesterday i am just seeing the 2G signal.
cant play online games like zynga poker & other games as well as i was playing in the 3G signal.
For me TATA DOCOMO was the only good player in this competition of 2G
but recently revised 2G plan (48 rs. only 1 GB) & now no more 3G signal(increasing the latency so can't play online games) & continuously disconnecting for last 2 months. I think they have been equal to other 2G operators. The reason i was stuck with DOCOMO was that it as giving constant speed of 128kbps. But now the speed fluctuate like other internet services. If this difference is permanent than i would have to say nothing else than BYE BYE to TATA DOCOMO. R.I.P

i am now pissed off with docomo . I am a good customer of docomo since 7 - 8 months . I used tata docomo 3g network for playing online in games like counter strike 1.6 . I used to recharge with 15 rs plan with data usage 500 mb and change my network to 3G to get good ping (latency) i used to get ping less than 100 which was ok for online game of counter strike . I use to recharge every 3 or 2 days with 15 rs . But in this month the internet started getting disconnected after every 20 mb usage (and this problem still persists) . Now they have stopped thier 3G signal if i have recharged with 2G internet so i cant play online . Sometimes 30 rs from my docomo acc were deducted for some shitty service was automatically activated in my account (this problem has stopped in recent days) . But i still used docomo for its 3G signal ! But sadly now they have stopped giving 3G signal while using 2G recharge

Lets Join "DOCOMO chodo Andolan" FIND IT ON FACEBOOK AND "Like" .Lets Boycott docomo for this **** step they have taken against the youth of India.

We will not adapt to this Fu**ing decision.

I thought, only I am facing this problem but...I see you ALL

I am also using 2G plan since 1 year.
and Now, I cant switch 2G (Edge) to 3G (HSDPA/UMTS) mode using 3G Micromax USB modem.
I think, TATA Docomo comes with new strategy, those who having 2G plans activated, for those they are restricting to give access to 3G signal.
So, on 2G mode (Edge) , internet browsing is like hell, - disconnecting a lot - too much slow speed.
At last,
will switch to new operator soon.
But really thanks for TATA DOCOMO for giving nice service & competitive 2G plans to me (at least)

What you were doing was exploiting a loophole in their system and getting 3G benefit without paying for it. In many countries you could land in jail for doing that.

You can not realistically expect the company to keep that loophole for long.

Yes dude, you are right, Its NOT LEGAL.
But here I was talking about, same speed 128kbps [16 KiloBytes per sec] of 2G plan on 3G signal.
NOT a 3G speed [3.6/7.2 Mbps] using 2G plan Data [1GB/2GB/3GB].

when you are using 2G speed [128kbps] on 3G signal,....advantages are more reliable connection, uses full of 16KB speed
otherwise internet browsing on 2G signal is worst.

yes, previously, there was a loophole like 3G speed with 2G data plan but it was ONLY for a month (in Maharashtra circle)n why? bcoz they were testing n I got ride of it, used 2GB within 1 Hr...700MB movie within 25min but some people are still getting those speed, probably outside MH like MadhyaPradesh....

For me, Best thing is Home Broadband BSNL/MTNL..totally ValueForMoney, 2G/3G is used while traveling

i have heard that docomo has stopped 3g signals on 2g sim cards and plan
bad move... now customers have allright to say tata-bye bye

hey when i recharge a 3g data plan on 2g sim i get speed 441KBPS on mobile and when i recharge with a simple 2g plan then i get speed avg. 20KBPS means if i pay for 3g that i get it on 2g sim too but when i try this trick speed remain same 20 KBPS so docomo is giving 3g speed on 2g sim but plan should be 3g (11RS for 10 MB) etc.
