Default Tata Photon Max WiFi Prepaid Tariff Plans

Just read the post about the Tata Photon Max WiFi, seems like a good connection to get, it is also available at a decent cost. I want to go for the prepaid connection but do not know which plan I should choose from. As I have not decided I thought it would be useful to post the tariff plan details in the post so that others can help me decide which plan would be better.

All the plans below are unlimited and have a speed of 6.2Mbps

Rs1200 with a data of 11GB at peak time speed with a validity of 30 days

    Basic Data Plans

All plans below have a speed of 6.2Mbps

Rs450 with a data of 2GB at peak time speed with a validity of 30 days

Thats a new price structure or may be not that new but it is the first time I am seeing this. What is the off peak speed on those unlimited plans?

Which plan to get is a question you should ask yourself really because you are the only one who know what you want to do with the connection and how much data you would use in a month. If you could provide such details then it would be easier to help you out.

I have not done many downloads in the past, and plan to do some downloading, it will mainly be songs and some movies on torrents not a lot, other than that it would be browsing. I don't have much of an idea how much data this will use, which is why I don't know which plan would be suitable.

I don't know what the off peak speed is, as it is not mentioned on the site.

I just checked their website and it says 153kbps. Not enough to watch youtube videos or even large images. The tariff structure is a bit confusing. Get the 11GB for Rs1200 and see how it goes. I am not sure if after using 11GB the speed would go down to 153kbps only in peak hours or would that be the speed you get night and day till the next billing cycle starts. I think this thing warrants a call to Tata to see what they have to say about this. Putting it clearly on their website would have been better though.

I think you should consider a MTS MBlaze connection, they have better and affordable plans. Cost of the dongle is near enough same as the Tata Photon Max WiFi
