    Default Nano

I have booked a Nano Car today - with loan from bank. People are buying application forms in bulk. Will it be successful?

I think it will be successful, as there are many people who have a motorbike or are thinking of buying one, but with that much money and added a little bit more they can now buy a nano car, which is obviously better than a bike!
For those who are travelling within their city or near by cities it will be good for them, but i dont think it will be good for long distance trips. Overall it will be successful.

Nano will be certainly a value for money... Especially for lower middle-class people... It will be safer and more convenient to travel in Nano than on a bike during monsoon...

Yes at the price its being presently offered, its definitely value for money.
But the catch is only the first 1 lakh customers gets it at this price. Then the price goes up. Then the real test would come as far as customer demand is concerned.

    How much their
    non a/c
non power steering (manual) version costs on the road in delhi?
how cheap it is compared to reliable Alto non a/c manual (no stereo) version?
Santro manual no a/c no frill version (engine and specifics same as high end version) is good fashionable (bright red colur) and dependable budget transport for school drop and market trip use!
Nano body is sure impressive. I think it is ok for city driving up to 3 years ( 36k km). Mileage is good.
The best I got in maruti wagon r in high way ,with out a/c ( never speed more than 70km) was 20km/litre. Santro also in highway with out a/c gives up to 15-17 km/litre.
all tata cars rattle and noisy like their lorries after 40-50k kms.

Nano is a very good car, have been using it from around a year.

I have the NANO LX Version, although i was expecting a Power Steering.

Although engine is not too powerful, you can't turn on AC during traffic their is lot of load that comes up.

Still, its perfect, service is good and so does the price.

    Smile No to Nano

I would say no to nano, as:

Once I was going by the road, I saw a Nano had a small accident with a man on a cycle and when the nano and the cycle came in contact, the rider list his balance and fell on Nano's Bonut, and the bonut got a big very big dent, and this dent was in the shape of the rider's hand.

I will not suggest anyone to buy a nano.
Rest keeping in mind our Budgets many people may and will buy this car.

    Default re:TATA NANO SPECIFICATION

Tata Nano specification is at its heels to welcome its new avatar later this month. Upgraded Tata Nano was spied recently and a launch is on the cards. Tata Nano, which was first launched in March 2009, has not seen any revision since then. Since the car makers have to be adaptive in changing scenario and survive amid growing competition, Tata Nano has been dressed with many new cosmetic features. New seats and fabric, new front seat headrests, a beige-colored dashboard, passenger-side outside rear-view mirror, new wheel-cap design and floor mats are the elements which will come with the new Tata Nano without any significant changes in price. As far as mechanics are concerned, the castor-angle on the steering wheel is optimized for better handling. The suspension is greatly improved in Tata Nano facelift by the addition of anti-roll bar to further improve its ride and handling while turning. Fit and finish has been drastically improved with body panels bonded more compactly giving stiffness to the new hatchback. The engine refinement levels can escalate through these efforts put in by Tata engineers. Even the power outputs in the facelift will step-up from 35 bhp to 38 bhp. The revised small car Nano will be available in pearl-white and striking colours such as orange and green.

As we already mentioned that all five variants of Tata Nano are powered by 0.6L, 624cc, 2-cylinder, MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) petrol engine with four speed manual gearbox. It is the first time in Indian auto industry when any car is powered by two cylinder engine. The 624cc power-plant of Tata Nano produces around 35PS power at 5250rpm and 48Nm of maximum torque at 2500~3500rpm. This small engine produces enough power to cross the mark of 100kmph with excellent fuel efficiency.

Default Tata Nano to get a slight facelift

Taking all the consumer feedbacks into consideration, Tata Motors has decided to launch an upgraded version with the features overlooked by the auto major earlier. The new Tata Nano comes in exciting new colors, the pearl-while, orange and Green to give a peppy look to the car. The passenger side external rear view mirror is a consolation to some extent, though if the right hand side mirror requirement is met is yet to be seen.
