Default Tata Motors launches Jaguar, Land Rover brands

The country's top automaker, Tata Motors, on Sunday launched in India its marquee car brands Jaguar and Land Rover, which it had
acquired from the US car maker Ford. ( Watch )

"It's quite a memorable day in the history and heritage of Tata Motors...JLR has been well received and well established in India (in the past), but over the years this brand has been disconnected from India," Tata group chief Ratan Tata told reporters here announcing the launch.

"Now, we have decided to extend the penetration of the two brands in India," Tata said.

"I think the cars will exhibit the levels of technology and levels of performance here," he said, adding the two brands would give Indian public an opportunity to experience the "pleasure of driving the superior technology.

Tata Motors completed the acquisition of the two British marquee car brands last year for $2.3 billion.

wow nice colour, but these vehicles are not ment for India. They need a lot of parking space and need sencible drivers around you also. The problem i face in this is cant see the end of the engine while sitting in the car so its very difficult to just guess and take pin curves etc

I agree, I don't think the roads are good enough in India to utilize the
full potential of these supercars. maybe as a status symbol or as a
true automotive enthusiast. otherwise stick to an ambassador.

If you cant sit in that atleast put a scratch on it (very small one) and you can proudly say that you scratched a Mccie...

Did u race with indica diesel or the Xeta? a Xeta or a Vista can clock 135-140 quite smoothly.
