Thread: Tata Nano gets invitation from Sri Lanka

Tata Motors have received an invitation last week from Sri Lanka’s Enterprise Development and Minister of Investment Promotion Sarath Amunugama to shift there manufacturing unit of Nano Car in the Island. This was confirmed by an official of Board of Investment (BOA). Nano is said to be an affordable, rear engine passenger car for the Indian Market. Tata Motors has stopped construction at there West Bengal’s Singur factory after receiving objections. Sri Lanka has also specified a location as a project site located about 35 km from north of Colombo situated in Special Economic Zone at Mirigama. It has been felt by Sri Lanka that Tata Motors will be benefited by the advantages of Free Trade Agreement between India and Sri Lanka

You, I know Tata and its a really great out door car. If you're planning to go camping or just have an offroad sightseeing the you got to have this car. Its best in almost every way.

Tata motors have introduced a splendid version i.e. Tata Nano which is affordable, the invitation by Sri Lanka is going to be more beneficial to Tata motors to extend their distribution networks.

I never thought India would be able to make such a car. Most of the news about out car industry before is that we're not improving quickly on it. But TATA changed that.

Many Co.s will be coming up with CNG so as to improve fuel efficiency.

It's really great to know Tata Nano gets invitation from Sri Lanka this will have a good business for Tata Nano

yeah, Nano is v good car, i have NANO LX, looks good works good

Nano is affordable to everone, but I don't like it specially its engine create noise like a three wheeler.

yeah, it creates noise, but only in first gear.
