Default Is Tata's One Lakh Car Worth It?

Tata's are going to launch the 1 lakh car soon to the market. I am kind of curious enough to know whether it will be worth it? Is it going to lack in various features look, size etc. Have anyone seen the model of it anywhere? They are planning for a car for almost half the price of a normal small-range cars in india, not sure whether it will have all the features of a small-range car or is it going to be just a four-wheeled two-wheeler?!

I cannot think that it will be any better than M800. It will be a great car to go the local sabzi-mandi and small commutes but beyond that it may not be able to match up. I will definitely think a lot before even considering on taking it on a drive on the Mumbai-Pune expressway.

They are already crazy with the present traffic situation and i am sure that they would go retarded when this nano would hit the road.

This car would surely be a big success in India as all those who presently have two wheeler would have the option to go with 1 lac rupee nano.

Yes, this car is definately worth what it is and i dont think that any car maker can offer somehing like this less then this.. i think it would change the present two wheeler scenario in india.

I like the one lac rupee car.. i think TATA has made something really good looking for a very low amount and i would also look forward to see it hit the road.

Well, If at all i am going for a car, why would i go for a car which is a stripped down version of a car. I still prefer driving two wheeler as it is the fast way of commuting in the traffic. But if i need a car, i would think about spending some extra money for a better one than nano.

What about those people who don't have a money to spend for buying a better car and want the safety of four wheels?

Even I dont think its going to sell but you never know... Maruti 800 still sells like hot cakes..

Well the one lakh car will surely be a success, but there will be many points which people will look out for before purchasing it. First of all the one lakh car is actually over one lakh, that’s something which may change people’s minds. The reason for not purchasing the car may be due to size, as although it is a four wheel drive it will fit a small family of 4 or 5, but any more then the cars not really suitable, especially when it comes to go on long trips with luggage. So people may think that it’s better to spend a bit more and get a spacious car. But on the other hand some may think that its better to have a car than a two wheeler, all I can say its something that we have to wait and see to what the outcome will be.
