Rep Power: 1 | @StarryKnight : I can understand your feelings and i really appriciate your love towards nature and concern about global warming. I am not representing TATA or any big company but what i want to tell you is that though they are trying to fill their pockets but are also trying to improve economy of our nation and have also provided employment for a larger section of community. IMO they are not intending for polluting atmosphere or global warming, its our responsibility to take care of our nature and surroundings No offense mate |

Rep Power: 2 | Even if nano could "lead" to traffic and parking issues, its a feasible option for those who can afford a flashy bike but cant afford a car. There are situations when we see 4-5 people travelling in a scooter without a helmet. I have seen public transports in Mumbai and Chennai. In Chennai, rickshaw uncles are still extortionists, some buses have their wheels so misaligned that it leans towards one particular direction and crowded. If you see it that way more buses can lead to accidents and traffic jams- we all know how the buses are driven in India- whether its on city or on highway. |

| yes it only us the normal civilians who has t get aware of protecting the environment..... one matter which i think that govt can do is ... when a plan is approved to build a house they have to make a compulsory that they have to plant a tree... if you are in apartments (even though they are all stuck together) you should atleast have 2 money plants they wont take anything else than water that too 2 ltrs a whole week so govt has to implement something like this ... back to nano - i dont think it will change anything except the profit of bike companies.... |

| Platinum Member | OK. Thread may go offtopic. Nano will be a boon to the lower middle class. - People are saying that it is not a safe car. So is riding a bike/scooter especially during rainy season on slushy/muddy/wet/slipper streets safe? - People are saying, it will lead to traffic jams. Yes, probably. But does that mean that the poor people do not have the right to own a car? - People are saying that it will double or quadruple our fuel imports. I doubt that. It will increase but not by alarming proportions. - Greenhouse effect. Why blame Nano alone for that?
