    Angry Why on Earth!!??

Well i was pretty sure that the new indica vista was gonna be my family's secondary car to get around but just got to know that tata has put the speedo on the centre!? Why the hell have they done that any idea, fellow members??

Does any1 like that setup so they are putting it there on popular demand?? Is it any use when its not under your direct vision??

I think its also the same with chevy spark....

What on earth do they mean by that? That the passengers are the main people who shud have info about the car's running? Then why not put it in the back seat?

I read that this was done to increase the visibility of the driver on to the road. Personally i hate the idea, i like to see the speed which i am driving right under my eyes.

It does not make any logic that all the passengers look at what is going on and what speed i am driving

It you make a careful assessment, it does not increase the driver's view - may be just a tad little.

    It is a bad move.

The driver's visibility is greatly decided only by the car's hood and the driver's seat height. The dash, as i have seen in all cars i have driven, comes within the area where the hood is visible to the eye.

All in all i think its a BIG turn off and that they have destroyed a good car, the same goes for spark and any other car whose manufacturer thinks this is a good idea.

As just4kix said, what a driver wants is all information bout the car right under his sight, not beside his line of sight.

I think in india unless you shell out above Rs6L u don't get anything perfect... even airbags are a luxury here even after 6L , and when they are even provided they are only for the two front passengers... are the two sitting at the back of less value to the people sitting in the front?

even indica vista's top model doesn't have any airbags i suppose...
