Hi i m ramya

i taken night unlimited i m getting speed of 30 kB/sec in day and in night i get 60-80kB/sec. But i think its 2Mbs na so i should get 200kB/sec why i m not getting that speed i paid lot of money still i m not getting speed.

any one have same problem ?

can any one tell me How r the speed for time based night unlimited plan pls tell me ?
Help needed urgently yaaaaaaaa

There are tons of issues with Tata...

You are lucky to get connected, I get connected once in a week and this is not an exception, this is the pattern for last 4mths without fail.

On a good day (when the connectivity is up) I do get a speed of 100kbps.

You can log a call with the support and let their lineman check the speed, though they won't be of any help

And if it a postpaid connection, then I would advice to get it disconnected.

When you said 60-80KB/sec ... how did you check the speed?

at 2mbps you should be getting about 240-250KB/sec

Try testing your speed at speedtest.net on different servers and see how it goes.

Please test your speeds at Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test and post the results here.

I suspect that you are using bit torrent and you have not forwarded your port.

i live in chennai nd i had terrible problems with tata indicom broadband.. its terrible.. when i used the home 128kbps ul, i used to have disconnections every 30min all the time. the problem wasnt solved til the end. then i changed my plan to 2mbps and expected 256kBps but got only 50K max.. terrible.. well i heard dat its better nowadays.. the speeds atleast come up2 200K MAX(PATHETIC)... i strongly suggest dat u change to bsnl or airtel.. bsnl is cheaper but airtel is faster nd has good service..

Your questions and assumptions are all wrong. You are asking why HYD people are not replying? But you have not replied to any of the questions that have been asked: Have you done a speed test at speedtest.net? If yes, what is the speed that your are getting? Kindly post the results.

Also you have not mentioned the plan name. Tata Indicom is not the best service provider. Consiquently their subscriber base is also smaller and that is why you are not getting response from the thread.

Also your assumption that BSNL is costly is completely inaccurate. BSNL provides the Home 500 C and Home 500 C+ plans for Rs. 500 and Rs. 600 pm respectively that includes night unlimited from 2 AM to 8 AM. These plans provide speeds up to 2 mbps.

In my opinion you should opt for BSNL.

Thanks for taking time and giving responce.My plan is quick power 300 and night unlimited which is upto 2 mbps?
i test my speed and i m gettin g 50 KB/sec only i should get 150-200KB/sec.

so ur advicing me to take bsnl but home 500 plan is limited na its very risky
and moreover i have to wake up from 2 am which is very difficult.
can u advice me the plan which will give me good speed becoz i watch online movies and download a lot

On top of that you are required to service tax at 12.36%. I utterly fail to comprehend, how you find all of the cheap?

As compared to that BSNL combo plans are Rs. 500 or Rs. 600 and plus you get a free landline with some free calls also.

- There is no risk with BSNL as long as you restart the modem at 2 AM and once again at 8 AM. There are guides in this forum for this. I have written one of them and you do not have to wake up.
- BSNL combo plans are good for torrent but online movies you would like to watch during day time and hence these plans will be costly. Then for you the another plan is UL1350+.

I will advise to switch to BSNL.
