I was sceptical before taking this broadband connection based on the user reviews that I saw in techtree and mouthshut. But I went ahead and took this connection as I needed it urgently. I had to pay 1758 (with tax) for the connection along with a prepaid value of 1500 MB download. The day it was installed, I was not even able to browse it at 10kbps. Then out of the blue it started working like a breeze. I have never seen the internet pages appearing so fast before. Then I tested at testmy.net and following was the result:

The connection that I took is the one with Metro Ethernet technology, which is an IP ( Internet Protocol) based technology that uses a secure authentication software at the customer end to provide a high speed, always ON Broadband via Coaxial & Optic Fibre cables. The technology is ideally suited for all future triple play applications. I had to shell out Rs. 800 for the cable installation.
I was an user of BSNL broadband before I shifted to Mumbai and I found that Tata’s connection is marginally better than that of BSNL’s. But I have absolutely no idea how tataindicom’s service was initially (which can be understood from the number of negative ratings for it) but right now tataindicom broadband rocks.
