Default Tata shifting wired broadband customers to Wi-Max

I had been facing frequent cuts in my TATA line at my office in Delhi. but i must say they are prompt to get it rectified and the area engineer said in a month or so all the connections in my area will be converted to wimax free of cost. As wire cuts are becoming frequent and after so many complaints daily, tata has decided to do away with wired conncetions.

    Hope this happens fast

Is Tata WiMax available all over Delhi? Do they provide a coverage map?

A friend was looking for Broadband Internet (WiMax) in the outskirts of Delhi. No clear answer from Tata so far.

And does the service give good upload/download speeds? good enough to run video?

Can anyone please provide some plan details for TATA Wimax.
Also I have been using BSNL EVDO and the bandwidth tends to varry due to change in signal strength. Does TATA wimax have similar issues.

WiMax rates are same just as Wired broadband connections. The brochures available in delhi say this, but no specific information on website.

    256kbps Ul - 750 + tax

I received a call from Cutomer care regarding request from migration to WiMax and they informed team will visit your premises for the same. but they said i need to upgrade the plan to 999 384kbps UL. I said your brochure for WiMax said Rs 750 for 256kbps UL and they said theey dont have the plan on WiMax. They are saying no such advertisement is there saying it. Lets see when they visit my place i will show them brochures and see what they have to say.

Thumbs up Tata Wimax (My Opinion)

Great they are offering its unhappy customers to change to wimax in Hyderabad too. I have just been migrated from wiredlan to wimax. Its great service if u hav gud signal strength, it depends on where the wimax tower is located in ur area. For me its only half a kilometer and there are no disconnections. The only problem which i hav seen is in torrents. But that can be solved if u ask the tata customer care guyz to give u a static ip. Apart from this everything has been excellent from tata. So please see if there is a tower in ur area. so thumbs up for wimax

when i was complaining for my continues disconnection of link of my router to their DSLM setup they offered me this for free but ....this is their failure too that they coudlnt maintain DSL problems...at all...and just to remove their headache they r offering it free...but customers are not going to get great results becoz if ur getting links disconnection probs in DSL then in the same way we r going to get signal problems......Bad-Luck with TATA To be Continued......

Dont make publicity to TATA blady i am using tata Wimax and the tower is just 300 meters and signal is full and still i am facing the problem even download speed and upload speed is less then the wired connection. i am having wired connection but due to cuts in the cable i migrate to wimax and i start facing this problem slow down problems and frequent disconnection. even they change the Wimax modem 3 times still the same problem.

Why this problem ? because blady wimax works on LOS line of sight it anything comes in between the two points that is your tower and your CPE then you face disconnects.
