Hi the

I recently spoke to one of the Local Service provider of Tata Indicom Broadband, and i got this Tariff:

-> 300- 356 kbps of speed since no 256 kbps available
-> UL plan [3 months]
-> 150 Mb download per day allowed.
-> 3.75k Installation charges [Non-refundable]
-> Need to pay one month rental in advance.
-> Wiring/ Cable connection like Sify Broadband.
-> Connection within 2 - 4 days from receipt
-> 1.5k per month of rental.
-> 2- 4 days taken to resolve in any technical error/problem.
-> 300 - 356kbps assured speed.

I wanted to know is this connection trustable?? Is this assurance true and will the speed of Tata Indicom broadband be stable??

Can i opt for this connection??

Any sort of Suggestions are welcome

Why is there a datacap of 150MB per day? Do we get UL usage in the night?

That was what i got from Him/Local service provider.

I suggest, don't go for Tata. Please read my wireless broadband sad story. I knew people who opted BSNL wired boradband are happy

you really need not to worry about all this and don't pay even a single rupee for installation, it's all free. If you are paying 3, 4 or 6 month's advance rental then you really need not to pay any installation charges. Admin and I got our Tata Indicom Broadband installed without any installation charges. Go for 384 KBps infinity plan... It will cost you around Rs. 1000 +taxes /month... Unlimited downloads... No cap on daily downloads!

Trust me.. they have given the best stability so far.. never failed a single day in all for the last one year..

Why dont you opt for a wireless connection? Tata's Photon+ is also available at the same rate and you'll get more speed as well.
