Thread: Going to Take a Tata Indicom Broadband Connection

Hi All. I had Airtel Broadband for over a year & really liked it. I have recently shifted to a place where it is not feasible for Airtel to give me a connection. My options are BSNL and Tata Indicom.

I called up both and Tata is ready to connect in 10 minutes & the service engineer is already at my door. BSNL hung up on me saying "Come to our office". I have heard about BSNL having the best speed but decent customer service is more important to me.

Please share your experience with both ISPs and help me choose amongst the two.

If you can be patient, BSNL gives you better BB speed. for same or less cost.

If you have not surrendered the Airtel ( Beetel 220BX?) modem, then
if you say you don't need modem, BSNL connection willcome fast.
Usually delay is due to non availability of modems.

Probably you may need a Landline fresh connection from BSNL/TataIndicom .

or Home 750 256 Kbps speed H24 Unlimited.Rs 750/=
tax etc/ installation/ etc extra.
If you are a GOVT EMPLOYEE/psu/ etc get 20% discount on monthly rent and excess usage.

compare with Tataindicom tariff plans.

( Never had reason to call BSNL during
past two years , except for a modem replacement. )

Youve taken the right decision. Tata wont disappoint you. I always support ISPs who give respect the time and need of their customers.

I'd say go for Tata as my experience with bsnl is sucky. I live BEHIND the main telephone xchange of bsnl, right behind, one building. And they take 3 weeks to respond 2 1 complaint of mine.
M getting shitty latencies with bsnl, switchin to tata/airtel soon
