Thread: Tata Indicom Wimax Broadband with BELKIN wifi Router

Hi on August 1st 2009 i bought BELKIN wifi Router. I got the BELKIN G Wireless Router, when i contacted Tata Indicom Customer Care in Hyderabad on their toll free number 18002097070 & when i told them to help me configure my BELKIN G Wireless Router they simple told me to contact my system Admin.

When i asked the customer care regarding STATIC IP the answer i got is , customers have 2 options :-

1. Change / Upgrade your plan to one which has a Static IP
[Presently i have Infinity 384kbps]

OR
2. Pay Rs 2000 plus 10.3 % per annum

Is there any one who could perfectly tell me how i must configure my BELKIN G WIRELESS ROUTER WITH TATA INDICOM BROADBAND WIMAX.

You would get enough help from the router manual itself.

Also you could get some tips from the internet on securing your wireless network.

There is no tata-indicom specific settings required.

While configuring router, just select type of connection as Dynamic IP...then secure your wi-fi using WPA-PSK encryption. No additional configuration required...

Got a Belkin N150 router. Works just fine for me with TataIndicom WIMAX connection. (I earlier had old netgear 'b' router which i couldn't get to work with wimax)

hey,
i have Belkin Wireless G (the USB type) and i want to know how did you connect your comp with this to WiMAX. i mean WiMAX comes with it's own reciever and antenna and wires and all. so where does this wireless G gets connected???
i connect it to the comp but it simply doesn't work, it recognises no wifi around it to connect to ... which right, cause there are non....
help me out here....:S
