Default Tata Indicom Infinity 1 Mbps Symmeteric - Rs 3,400/month

Does anyone have experience with this service?

Does it give 1 Mbps for both upload and download? consistently?

My 2 cents. I wouldn't care whether this gives 2 Mbps also. It is insanely expensive.

Even if indicom provides you this service for free dont take it...
they are the worst ISP in my experience...
1 MBPS my God... u must be kidding... when i got my connection which was 128 kbps.. the agent told me that u will the connection speed divided by 8 (i.e. 128/8 = 16 kbps) as the download speed and he told me that it is true for all the connections.. so it is all fake.. indicom is a joke.....
and to say the least i never even got the 16kbps speed.... i discountinued indicom after 2 months only after having a traumatic time with their service....

Hi guys...I am currently using Infinity 1 Mbps Plus [static] over WIMAX. Honestly, when I started with 512 Kbps[dynamic] there were quite a few errors, which required calling customer care almost every day. Then finally, TATA engineers arrived working flat out 6 Hrs. to fix the issue. NOTHING happened and they decided to quit. After using it for a week, I decided to upgrade from 512[dynamic] to 1 Mbps [static]. My issues were all sorted up and the connection is AWESOME. [I am a freelancer and work for clients in U.S. I need speeds in excess of 2 or 5 Mbps]

1Mbps for Rs. 2990 is a bit more, but considering the fact of being online and working on RDP or Uploading files, it works without a glitch. I have even updated to 1.5 Mbps Power Flash Plan, which will be activated by 21st of August.

Keeping a straight face is hard, but honestly I am HAPPY.

Hey thanks panchabhut. I will take care of myself & yes thanks for the concern shown. As I said earlier "WIMAX" is what I am using. TATA wired connections are rolled back in Bangalore & am sure about other states too. Anyways said that, try WIMAX & yes honestly TATA is working quite hard in this segment.

& yes panchabhut...try firing all the five natural elements [phew] & still you wont get this right. WOW and also dont loose the last one "consciousness". It should be SPACE not consciousness. Now try keeping a straight face....

I got the same plan - had no choice, Reliance/AirTel are not present in my building Thanks to new offer, 1 Mbps is 3400 Rs now, not 5000+ like in the past.

Anyway, even though it's called Symmetrical my upload speed never goes higher than 300 Kbps. Download is always 1 Mbps and it's very stable. I had Reliance before and upload was always equal to download.

I've complained to the customer service - let's see what happens. Upload speed is important for me because of torrents - I want to keep good rating

Strange thing - I've applied for a wired broadband but they installed some wireless equipment near my window to get the connection. In other buildings they usually use cabels to connect your PC with the equipment on the roof...
