Oh my god!!This is unbelievable .. nice work getting it recorded!!I hope they change that policy of theirs!!
This is against all ethics. good info admin. rep+. Going to tell about this issue I will to appropriate persons.
There is only one way to the invasion of privacy as detailed here. Hit them in their pockets. Initiate a campaign for surrendering of connections.
Are you registered with the Do Not Call Service.
If not, register immediately. After 45 days the service would be activated.
Then for every SMS from You Mint register a complaint with Customer Care and record it. After you have registered some 10/12 complaints, lodge a compliant with TRAI.
You are right. They dont care about customers personal details and even I had a argue with them on this and as usual they disconnect the call. I had to fight for 4 month with them to get a shift of location form.
Hi Admin,
just heared the call.nothing to say but yes the process which tata indicom(VSNL) is following is wrong, there is nothing called as customer verification in tataindicom(VSNL). I hope my details will help u and many other customers from securing their details.
plz mail this audio clip and ur issue to the nodal office of delhi circle on the following address and do mention that u want a reply for this within a time frame.
nodal officer's details:-
Name:Srividya Iyer
Contact Nos 9212451517
Facsimile Number 66082710
Email Nodalofficer.north@tatacommunications.com
and also don't forget to mention that if u don't get update within the given time frame then u'll escalate this issue to the Appellate Authority.plz find below the details of the Appellate Authority:-
Name: Ms. Sheena Joseph
E-Mail: appellate.authority@tatacommunications.com
Contact: (91) (22) 65216898
Facsimile Number: (91) (22) 67659303.
i hope this would work.
Nodal officers are just fake....i remember trying to deal with the Reliance Nodal officer.......
India will never change.......
These f*ing politicians are just gonna ruin everything
hi jaxx,
u might be right on ur side but not all isp's have same nodal officer......correct.if u think that these nodal officers are fake than u can walk in into VSNL office and meet the nodal officer.thanks for ur view.
I got nothing to say about it, Tata guys knows nothing like Data Protection Act
I am using Tata Wimax from a long time![]()
coz its working good for me without any downtime, if you talk about service its good but policies are missing.
Cust Care Agents are just doing there work and following the script, its not the fault of cust care executives but its the fault of higher management which is still unsure about the guidelines and the way it should work.
Data protection is in hand of users.
I think they can use 2 id one for registration & another for use. Simple solution No hopla.
What is fallacy in my method?
PS:G'night will see reply morrow.

Well, I moved from BSNL to Tata Indicom - the plug-2-surf thing for budget reasons and a bit helpful while on the go!
Now that you have brought this issue up, I thought of giving it a try- just to see if i can change my plan - Well I cant even get to the customer service agent! the phone just keeps ringing.
It is no good expecting high levels of professionalism here. Indian customer (with exceptions) service agents lack the so called professionalism and react emotionally to logical questions. That should explain the hanging up of the phone.
May be we could write a detailed 'Respected Sir' and send it to the head office. Will anyone respond remains to be seen.
Hi All,
Tata indicom gave me nightmares after i was hooked up with them for the internet. besides the 800 rs monthly bill i had to pay around 400 bucks for calling them(telephone bills)... they are simply a bunch of goons who just know to get money for no service.. i guess we should not let them go away like this.. why dont we go and lodge a complaint against them at the consumer court.. i faced this problem in mumbai but the work ethic seems to be the same everywhere in country among the indicom ppl...
Indicom is really a blot on the face on being an ISP. VSNL is a thousand times better.. just sitting like this wont help anyone but we shld teach indicom a lesson...

First contact Nodal Officer and if that doesn't resolve the issue (with apologies) then write to Appellate and then to TRAI.
I've followed this trail and thus compelled airtel to refund my money (1784/-) which otherwise they're refusing for the full 1 and half year.
Hello,
This is my first post so plz ignore any typos..
I am not a tata customer so other than the call i have no experience or hint about their service...
When you call them up,i think that ur information comes up on their screen , i mean to say ur particular no. is already on their screen ad they confirm ur ID and then tell ur details...Suppose i call them up and give ur E mail id they would get to know that its a wrong combination...And then i guess they wont give away details...I guess u should try this...
I may be wrong....

There are tricks to know info of BSNL & MTNL users also.
simply go to Sanchaar haat and yell out the landline number to get a duplicate bill...Voila now u have got the CA number of that user. Go to mtnldelhi.in site click on online payment and u can view the past bills, user info, in case he got a std activated, then u can also get its details..........and even more pathetic is the triband info which is same as phone number and CA number...:hammer:
There is one more method. Password should be change. For my method i don't have to go somewhere.
UBI bank site was too running on God's name till 2 years ago.
I listened to the audio clip. I was unbelievable! Do they even understand what customer data protection means? Appalling!!!
